Why would you hope so? More time 343i gets the better. Not to mention Hi’s release for 2019 never was a realistic probability to begin with. Next year is focused around C3 and GoW5 already. Than again, nothing is impossible, but the chances are slim to say the least, with or without H3 tournaments! 
They did say at E3 they’re still a long ways off to shipping the game. In the video game industry that usually means multiple years. They know most people are tired of H5 so they’re giving the most well loved Halo title some love, which I think is smart. Gives 343i some good rep from the classic scene for Infinite.

Who stated that would be the release date of Halo Infinite ? As ADE MacBamboo01 has said, the probability of Halo Infinite dropping in 2019 was never realistic. I think the earliest we’ll see Halo Infinite is late 2020. I would be happy to be proven wrong, but I don’t see it dropping next year. Crackdown 3 is first quarter, I would bet Gears 5 will be 3rd or 4th quarter, that leaves no room, or time to announce and release Halo Infinite imo.

Just because a game is teased one year doesnt mean it will release the following year.Halo wars 2 was tested in either 2014 or 2015 and didnt come out till 2017

And I don’t know why so many are pointing at 2019!^^’ Like Skully and Tedi just told 'ya, the game is far from being ready, C3 and Gears are already there to fill the most important MP gaps next year and the teaser was first and foremost a tech demo for the new Slipspace engine. Maybe, just maybe, we might get a beta next summer during E3 or early 2020. I wouldn’t even expect anything Hi related before the expo or maybe even the X019. Let’s wait and see, in the mean time slow down your horses mate! 
I don’t see how there’s a correlation between a Halo 3 tournament being held and Halo Infinite not releasing because of that?

The teaser you mentioned was for the H4 game… The HI teaser was for the new engine, not just the game. New game engines aren’t just thrown together in a few days. It takes time and testing to get right… and unfortunately [for those who aren’t patient] that’s extra time that has to be added to the actual building of the game that will be using that new engine. Which I’m sure will also take a bit longer just because it’s all new tech that they’ll be working with.

I don’t know how to say this in English but u are “playing on words” rn because the HI trailer is a game engine demo but also a clear announcement of what gonna came out and how it will be named the halo 4 teaser was more into action I agree with u but that’s still a short announcement trailer for what’s coming out in the franchise.so infinite for 2019 boys

I’m pretty sure they said there would be Halo 3 tournaments in January and March of 2019. I’m fairly certain I did not hear anything about a November H3 tournament. (yet)
Perhaps they worked on both the engine and the game at the same time?

Yeah they only just showed a game engine trailer. I mean 2019 is Gears 5 and I can’t see them dropping both in the same year.
Plus, IMO they should avoid their past two mistakes and make the game a polished launch title for the next Xbox.
I also think the the gap may be part of a soft reboot. I mean people already think it’s not a sequel to Halo 5.

More time the better is true! I’d like this next installment to represent the best of what 343i has to offer and as someone who understands the difficulty of software development, building a new platform for HI is in itself a whole project, but to then turn right around and use that new platform to build a game is two in one, let them do it right!
