WTF ARE THESE COMEBACKS!??!!

majority of the games i have played on this account and my other ive noticed something that happens quite often. lets say its slayer and youre team is in a 10 point lead and need 2 kills to win, all of a sudden the enemy team becomes a hell of a lot better OR you’re team starts sucking -Yoink-. like srsly this has happened so many times to the point i just have no words, someone please help me cope with this and im just gonna flip of this has happened to noone else.

I attribute it to their better match making parameters they implemented. Some are complaining that it takes longer to find a game, which can be true at times, but we get way better evenly matched teams IMO. I have seen a lot of come backs and matches that stayed close in score as well.

They might be heroes making the last second comeback and you’re the villain destined to lose, that’s my guess. Or maybe your team is getting too cocky and wrapping up their win prematurely.

Losing team might’ve figured out what to do to win or the winning team could be slacking or can’t counter the losing team’s changed strategy.

This, I’ve seen this happen where the losing team griefs on purpose just to show that the enemy team lack coordination just to come from behind and win with map control.

From what I’ve played with “non-teams” in 4v4 when there are 5 less kills to win, the winning team just throws bodies at the losing team. This often gives the losing team free kills.

A lot of people relax when the game will be over soon and they have the lead. Make sure to stay focused even if you are winning.

Well either your team is getting cocky and giving up or the other team was purposely slacking to get the epic comeback

Could also be smurfs who are just mucking around and decide to either throw or win at the very end of a match based on where they want their MMR to be.

In most cases when stuff like this happens, it’s because the losing team tends to bunch up and hold down an area surprisingly well when the game looks to be a lost cause while the team on the verge of winning tends to get too greedy and rush into said area without any real coordination. This leads to the team in the lead feeding bodies to the losing team, and suddenly that lead evaporates.

Maybe the losing team had someone quit.
And a better player to replaced them

I have a clan, and the only way to get in is if they 1v1 me. I specifically choose a custom map where I can predict the spawn points, they will spawn south of the map 99% of the time. I don’t care if they lose, what I’m looking for is their ability to take a different strategy if one way clearly isn’t working for them. Not many people end up doing this. They’ll let me spawn trap them and get salty for it. But then I’ll let them kill me and show them how it’s done. Instead of going the way that I died from, go the opposite way and attempt to flank. My point here is that when a team is losing, it either comes down to the other team being OP or your strategy sucks, either conclusion, the only ‘way’ to combat it is to change the strategy. Many people adapt to this way of playing.

Well keep in mind, these people have been playing with you an entire game, they’re starting to learn your strategies. Case in point, I’m playing SWAT on Eden. This one dude with the Timmy Helmet keeps going back to that weird pillar at the back of the map that moves up and down and camping there. I catch on to this tactic very quickly and begin predicting that he’s going to be there. I even predict that he’ll be crouching by the corner closest to the blue building and use it to sneak up behind him a couple of times.

Also if a team figures out they’re possibly gonna lose, in my experience they go extra try hard and start doing all they can to pull the game back, usually upping their game significantly to make sure they don’t go down without a fight. Combine this with them having started to learn what strategies you’re employing and they start having a chance at pulling back.

TL:DR They learn and no one wants to lose.

Are you playing social games? I’ve noticed a lot of games lately my team mates will betray each other right at the start fighting over weapons. And they keep going after each other for a good part of the game and then the last bit they stop betraying each other and start playing and we come back and win.
