i have been teperaraly banned from playing halo reach matchmaking due to leaving games but the only problkem is is i havent left a game i have either lagged out or have gotten disconected and i would really like to get this off of here since i havent quit but 3 games in the past month
Disconnections count as quits. This is an intentional measure that was put in place to make sure that people can’t deliberately unplug their routers in order to “quit” without receiving a quit ban. People with low-quality Internet connections are, unfortunately, collateral damage.
The banning system is fully automatic. There is no appeals process or manual reporting process (343i, and Bungie before them, don’t have enough staff), so the ban cannot be lifted. Sorry. :\
Well thats crap. i should have to quit playing bacause of my dissconnection nor my lagging out. they should monoter the quits not the disconnections or the lag outs. i dont use a lag switch like most of the people i play with i figure one on one would have been better. i am sorry that halo reach cant respect the people whom cant cotrole what happens to our connections

It makes no difference, I can’t control my connection either. But if I get banned for lagging out that’s still my responsibility.

Nothing that can really be done about it, sorry. If lagging out did not contribute to the number of quits for a quit ban, people could simply quit by unplugging their internet connection.

Well, here’s my advice. The Quit ban is only for ten minutes, but i recommend you check your connects.
They couldn’t “excuse” people with bad connections even if they wanted too.
Nothing gets embedded into TCP or UDP packets to let anyone know why you or anything else drop of a network.
If you get disconnected all the remaining computers on the network know is just that you’re gone. It could be you quit, lagged out, purple monkeys from Oz attacked your router.
Either way, breaking the network connection for any reason gets counted as a quit because they can’t do it any other way.

What’s crap is your connection. After the second or third lag out or disconnect… You chose to keep going in matchmaking without fixing your connection.
What’s crap is you are making your teammates suffer because of that CHOICE. As long as you choose to risk a disconnect you are choosing the risk of being banned. Please upgrade your network.
