Its projectile moves so slowly and in such a painfully huge arc that you’re not hitting anything further than directly in front of your face with anything short of clairvoyance. It’s slow, it’s unwieldy, its turret is beyond worthless, its main canon does no damage (I hit a ghost ultra and it survived, albeit without much health remaining) and managing to get a kill with it in a warzone base requires an arcane process of propping up your vehicle on an incline so as to mitigate its ridiculous projectile path and get the shot through a door.
Has it always been this worthless and I’ve just forgotten?
The wraith works pretty well for me.

Yeah the Wraith has never been my favoured vehicle. It’s fun to splatter people that rush up to you, they always seem to forget that you can just boost at them. But the gun is indeed terrible, I’ve never been a fan. I’d take the Scorpion over it any day of the week.
The Wraith Ultra is better, but still not great.
The ultra rare one is pretty legit
I think it needs to return to its Reach days with a bigger blast radius. Other than that I think it’s fine.
I got a rampage with the Sword Wraith so I don’t think it’s worthless, it’s sure as hell better than the Scorpion. You just have to know how to use it right.
There is definitely a learning curve to effectively use it. A curve that I am still working on, but I disagree that it is worthless.
All the of the vehicles in H5 are pitiful imo. Seems like everything got stronger and faster since 4 except vehicles. Now blowing up a tank is trivial when you can crouch somewhere, then SPRINTDASHCHARGE from 20m away, plant a grenade and be done with it in 4 seconds flat.

Yeah there’s nothing more annoying than bringing out your Oni Scorpion, and some camper who’s been waiting outside the vehicle spawn point just instantly kills you.

I suppose that is one area where the wraith has its advantages.
If used effectively, I think it’s substantially more useful than a Scorpion. The Wraith’s higher speed/turn rate as well as its ability to strafe makes it much, much less prone to being boarded by the very fast Halo 5 Spartans. While the Plasma Mortar firing arc has a learning curve (ha ha), it isn’t that unwieldy and I find it’s much harder for Spartans to thruster out of its way. Wraiths are also smaller, which makes it easier for the gunner to protect.
The only real downsides I see are the Wraith gunner’s relative exposed position, lower damage projectiles, and (maybe? Not certain on this one) less armor.
You give me a Wraith and I can take down the average player in a Scorpion any day.
I personally think it’s one of the best vehicles out there.
Almost every time I get in one I get a killing frenzy or better.
It’s ability to boost is IMO the best feature for any vehicle, I can’t tell you how many people I’ve splattered using the thing.
I like it for ramming other vehicles and splash damage is great, but I rather use a tank.
It’s good for getting splatters since people underestimate it’s fast boosting ability and killing bosses.
The wraith is definitely not worthless it takes some practice but when you know how to use it it’s a monster.

And its definitely not slow or an easy boarding target, since you have the boost and pretty much the only time you should get boarded is if the enemy gets a camo and sneaks up on you.

Kill farming doesn’t count. That’s like me saying I knocked out Mike Tyson, but not telling you that a dozen of my friends pinned him down first.

Yeah well like i said i dont always do that, ive gotten good streaks with it even when i played by my self without a premade.
Why do so many people think that you have to kill farm and play in a premade to get unfrigs? You can do all that even as a solo player… yes its harder but it’s definitely possible.
