WRAITH BOARDING GLITCH - DOESN'T INSTAKILL

So I may have inadvertently stumbled upon a glitch in Halo 4, not sure if this is new due to the Title Update, or if it’s been lurking around since the beginning, but for whatever reason I managed to board a Wraith, plant the grenade and gracefully hop off, only to have it survive with sod all damage…

IT LITERALLY DID NEAR-TO-NOTHING!

It even managed to happen again later on in the video…speaking of which, I wouldn’t blame you if you were to preemptively mute that…

One word: Lag

> One word: Lag

Some more words: Where the balls was the lag in that game?

For once the connection wasn’t flipping the hell out, here for whatever reason the grenade decided to do bugger all…

It’s definitely not lag, since I’ve had a similar experience before with the Mantis. I jumped on it, planted a grenade, only to have it walk away. It was damaged, sure, but still very well alive and kicking.

Weird…

I leave Dominion and BTB for the Majestic DLC for a while and suddenly all manner of silly buggers starts cropping up in the weirdest of ways…

Oh well, nothing game-breaking, just an occasional inconvenience…

Well I thought it looked like it lagged once you’d planted the grenade (I only watched those few seconds). I’m not watching it again as I had to watch an advert.

I watched that happen to a teammate last night. I was playing on Shatter and my teammate mounted the Mantis and planted the grenade. The enemy team then killed him off of it. The grenade detonated, but only caught the Mantis on fire.

Quite peculiar indeed.

Well fair enough if you didn’t watch more than the immediate thing in question, but if you’d watched the rest of it, you’d see the game was, thankfully, lag free…

Just a very, odd, annoying thing that decided to pop up twice for me…

Wow that sucks, I sure hope it was a game fart and not a glitch that people will start going on about.

Saw it happen today on a Mantis on Ragnarok.

Guy jumped up and I saw him put his sticky in the Mantis, I jumped up and “busted” him, the grenade went off and barely damaged the vehicle.

wheelman.

> wheelman.

I’ve gone into BTB with the wheelman perk on, still took just 1 grenade to take out the Mantis I was in and same when I was in Dominion on Exile with the Wraith.

> wheelman.

I’m not sure what would be worse:

-Having a glitch cause this

-Having a perk cause this

Oh wait, "Perk", nevermind, that’s that one answered…

I’ve survived a spartan laser with wheelman in undamaged banshees, wraiths and mantis’s.

> I’ve survived a spartan laser with wheelman in undamaged banshees, wraiths and mantis’s.

That point is mute considering with the laser if you don’t hit the target enough, you cause little damage.

> I’ve survived a spartan laser with wheelman in undamaged banshees, wraiths and mantis’s.

Well that isn’t always a guaranteed kill…

Boarding a vehicle and sticking a spider up its rear is supposed to be a bloody instakill though, every time regardless of where or when…

> wheelman.

Wheelman does not give your vehicle double health, it just hastens the vehicle’s recovery ‘health’, say when a Warthog is beeping, the faster the beeping the closer it is to exploding. When you do not take sustainable fire, the beeping will slow much more quickly when you use Wheelman.

When a vehicle takes a direct grenade stick from boarding, it is (or rather should be), an instant kill.

Huh, that I didn’t know…

I mean I knew it made your vehicles more durable, I just didn’t know it was in that specific way…

Well that completely bloody rules out Wheelman being the cause of this…
