Microsoft has stated all DLC on the xbox can be used by anyone on it, BUT not halo 4. Wtf is that about, anyone else have this problem or hear about a fix for this. I’m almost at 50 I want my specializations I was told I was getting!!!
Normally, DLC flies are licensed to both a profile, and a console. That way, everyone on that console can use it, but if you’re on another console you need to be using the original profile (unless you license transfer to that new console).
H4’s dlc files are licensed only to a profile. This stops anyone from SPG’ing (second profile glitching) and using it on multiple xbox’s…it also stops anyone on your own xbox from using it unless it’s the original account that redeemed the code.
It might possibly work if you sign into that profile first, then switch to the one you want to play on, but for some games it does not even let you do that.
What I don’t get is howcome people manage to redeem the codes to the wrong profile. Unless they have the same theme and Gamerpic, their attention to detail leaves much to be desired
Me and my bro had this problem too… now I’m the only one sporting the venator raptor…
For the armor’s I was able to get multiple codes but we only got 1 LE, what a waste it was. I mean since 05’ a lot of crap collector editions have came out but halo’s were always worth it at least IMO. The only thing we really got was a different type of recruit armor and the specialization. Now I let my younger brother type all the codes for obvious reason, but no where was a warning given that it was profile locked. In fact I don’t see how that is allowed considering a lot of people now use the family package where your console has 4 gold profiles that can all share dlc on that console.
I do plan on calling MS later and they have been pretty good in the past when problems arise. If i have any good news after I’ll repost here. The only other thing that would work, is that if you played by Nov 20th your possed to be able to unlock the specialization also. While I’m not complaining about that but then really wtf did I get the LE for is beyond me. I’m sure others feel this way while it’s sold out and 343 is not making anymore. Hmmm wonder why that is
