Wow - kick for betrayals in Grifball?

The number of accidental betrayals you pick up in this and you still get kicked? Not happy…

I totally understand.

Yeah they need to increase it to like 6 betrayals to be kicked

I don’t kick people. I also don’t betray people. It all works out in the end. It’s not that hard to avoid bonking your teammates.

I know what you mean I was playing with a fireteam of 3 and our 4th man betrayed me 3 times and I could’ve booted him but I’m like its grifball it happens a lot. Then one of the guys I was playing with betrayed him and got booted like what the hell.

Some people kick just for the sake of it; others do it on mistake. I just steer clear of everyone else.

Ya true but the ones that I find are doing it constantly I will boot them. It’s not that hard to see that there is a team mate between you and the enemy - if there is don’t swing it’s just that simple. I like how it gives the option after 2-3 betrayals why would I want someone that careless on the team. I’ve never been booted in grifball - why because I am aware of my surroundings and don’t swing when a team mate is already in a duel with someone.

In any other game type I hate betrayers and quitters but seriously this is Grifball people. Turn betrayal booting off. Trolling around in Grifball is perfectly appropriate and acceptable. It’s like going into baseball game and asking people not to spit their seeds on the ground. It’s ridiculous really.

personal rule in grifball, if im surrounded by friendlies, switch to sword isntead, that way i dont do anything wrong

Betrays will happen in GB. Can’t be stopped. What players need to do is pay attention when the windows to kick/boot appears and just click NO.
Unless you really do have that one player on the team who trying to troll/prevent your team from winning. Then…yeah Boot him.

I’ve been given the option to boot players many times, but i have yet to boot a single player.

I agree. To those saying to be “aware of surroundings” that’s great and all, but I like that Grifball is mindless fun and I dont take it seriously, therefore I’d rather just swing with wild abandon. Especially when there’s a -Yoink- of players surrounding the ball. Maybe a competitive league should be started for those wishing to take it seriously and where BB makes sense.

I kicked someone yesterday in Grifball and it felt great so I can’t relate, OP.
The match was also close to the end, made me feel even better.
But seriously, if they’re acidental I won’t mind but this guy was doing it for the kicks. So he got kicked.
Also, if you’re minimally careful of your surroundings, while still getting a few unfortunate betrayals, you can get through a match just fine.

yeah its annoying

343 is fixing this.

They need to change the betrayal screen that pops up. You know you have 3 seconds before you re spawn and the wording is confusing enough to cause an accidental betrayal.

Agreed.

they finally add this feature and it’s in griffball insane.

everyone who has played griffball previously know that happens alot.

it’s just a game it’s made to be wacky and intense action it was made by Bungie to be fun not a game of kicks and ban’s. Think about it 343 , nice way to mess up a fun game.

I get the pop up a lot and never kick anyone.

How bout this DONT SWING WHEN THERES A FRIENDLY INFRONT OF YOU. Is that clear enough for you stop crying about your own mistakes it doesn’t take much to hold from attacking when there’s a team mate infront of you. If your mental capacity can’t handle that answer don’t play grifball.

Its griffball, splash damage happens. Its social. Did you ever play GB in h3/reach? This is just a part of the chaos that makes it fun.
