Today I felt like playing Halo 3, well the first mission Arrival, Sgt. Johnson says “Chief why do you always jump? One of these days you’re gonna land on something as stubborn as you are”
I don’t know if bungie had plans about the Halo 4 story or not, but it sounds like to me they were hinting Halo 4 new Ancient Enemy or Cortana going rampant or landing on Requiem. IF they knew the plans to Halo 4 story.
Just throwing that out there…

Yeah, it could be some foreshadowing. I mean, they went into Halo 3 knowing where they were going. A Halo 4 didn’t surprise Bungie or Microsoft. It was intended. You could probably dig other things out of the Halo 3 campaign.
For instance we will probably be reminded of the scene where Johnson say: “Don’t let her go. Don’t you ever let her go.” to Chief in reference to Cortana.

I always knew, it was just of matter of when and what? And then they announced Halo4, and I was like “I knew it! Finally!”
Well that could be a bit of foreshadowing but it’s underwhelming in comparison to Requiem actually making an appearance at the end of the game. That was the biggest give away ever.
Now the Chief has landed on something as stubborn as he is… his destiny. He finally has a true nemesis now too.

Chief jumped when he planted that Covie bomb on that Cruiser in H2, which was awesome…
And he jumped into the water then he was grabbed by the Gravemind.
Is this thread pointing to the rumored “arch nemesis” Chief has in the story? I never saw it, only that weird purple dude with telekinesis powers…

I knew they had plans for Halo 4 but like full story plans like the new ancient enemy.
