It looks cool. I burst fire my AR when players are a little too far and this will help me see better. The zoom will help with split screen also.

Ok, then we have every right to wonder why you would possibly complain about something when you have less than limited experience with it. I’m not trying to start an argument here, I just want to let you know that this thread is completely unnecessary and adds nothing to the forums, thank you.

A) it’s functionally no different than click zoom. It just has a little visual flair.
B) Most importantly, it doesn’t take up a valuable button like the left trigger to use.
C) There’s no penalty to movement
It’s simply not ADS. It’s still Halo. Calm down.

But I haven’t eaten it for the first time. About 2 years ago I had an ice cream by the same guys. They said it was tasty and delicious and I believed them. Well, the ice cream turned out to taste like -Yoink- so of course I’m gonna be skeptical.

Not really. There’s a blatant gain in accuracy when you zoom in on automatics. And there’s still a big -Yoink- gun in the way of your screen lol. The H4 DMR scope is so much cleaner than the one we have in H5.
I kept thinking to myself what was the point in this.
Then it hit me.
While no one actually asked for ADS in Halo, reasons are plenty and I’m much too lazy to list them, there were complaints about automatics being much too weak compared to precision weapons off of spawn.
Seems 343 implemented this to give players spawning in on automatic start games a chance to compete off spawn against precision weapon users.
That’s the only logical reason I can give it. I’m most likely wrong though.

yes a gain in accuracy in the automatic weapons which have a distinct disadvantage to the precision weapons which means they become pointless garbage weapons not even worth being in the sandbox its not like you are gonna spend every second in zoom mode cause descope son chill mate just chill they got this

Well… It kinda is.
With the Magnum, SMG, DMR and Battle Rifle; You look down the sights. You ‘Aim Down the Sights’.
It is ADS, But it doesn’t function exactly the same a traditional ADS.
