Wouldn't MGS4 Levels Of Cutscenes Be A Bad Thing?

You don’t want the game to make the same mistake MGS4 did, right? I thought people played Halo for the gameplay? I see people saying the campaing’s a let down because it doesn’t have many cutscenes and story. Maybe i’m getting that wrong? I did see some posts that criticized the lack of story and cutscenes.

Personally I’m fine with the current amount, but I think people mean like previous games. A small cutscene before a mission, a small one afterwards, and maybe a tiny one in the middle like Inna few Halo 3 missions that you can skip and actually participate in instead.

A cutscene before and after a mission is fine.

this game counts every time weapon walks onto a terminal from our hand as a cutscene

People definitely play halo for the story and epic setpieces

I definitely play for story mostly. But I feel like it’s pretty good as is in this game.

That said while we’re on the topic of cutscenes, can someone tell the art director or whoever that the camera doesn’t need to be constantly moving at all times?

I’m sorry… do I need to call 911? You seem like you’re having a stroke.

I think they’re saying that “every cutscene” would include every variation of a cutscene where Chief is holding a different weapon

every time Cortana 2.0 steps from chiefs hand on to a terminal it is a skippable cut scene

People must have skipped Halo 2 because there are considerably more and MUCH longer cutscenes in that game.
I personally don’t mind it, especially if it makes sense or is used to further plot.
