you got to play as Cortana at some point in Halo 4? I wonder what you do with her? Like maybe hack into other networks, or somehow be able to fight with some sort of weapon.
Also it would be nice to get to play as The Arbiter again. I wonder what his role will be in this game…

I’m sorry, but I disagree with you I don’t see it happening, adding a new formula like playing as, Cortana in halo 4 just oddly wouldn’t work out. Since you know Halo is a FPS? Not saying this wouldn’t happen, and it would be cool if it some how worked out, but I don’t see anything like this happening anytime soon. With the Arbiter being playable is unlikely since 343 wants to focus on the Master Chief and his relation ship between him and Cortana.
Maybe there’s some sort of unknown power that she has that hasn’t be revealed yet, some sort of twist. I know Halo is a first-person shooter, but I don’t think it would hurt it to give a fresh experience in first or third-person as Cortana. It would make the game more interactive, like pressing button combinations to shut down the shields of a ship or something. Or even play an entire mission as her fighting off other A.I.'s.
I know it sounds weird, and many classic Halo players might hate it, but I think it would be cool to actually get to play as Cortana and help the chief instead of always automatically expecting her to help you without doing anything. It would make the player more involved and responsible in the story.
I would also enjoy a throwback to Halo 2, and play as The Arbiter, who is searching for Master Chief and eventually gets reunited with him.
Again, just intriguing storyline/gameplay possibilities that I find exciting.
