They made all of the playlists available again for those who have not yet bought all of the map-packs and create separate playlists for those who have bought them?
OR
They could make all of the Halo 3 map-packs free now.
Either way, I’m sure many of those who still have Halo 3 or wish to come back to it can. And those of us who are still playing it would have a much larger community to play with again.
I know this probably won’t happen, but I can dream…

Still an odd number of points, and odd that Legendary is around $2. They should at least make Legendary free so that it can be an even 1200 Microsoft Points. Of course my ultimate dream is to see Legendary free and both Mythics dropped to 400 Microsoft Points.
It would be cooler still for 343 Industries to just a release a “mega” map pack for Halo 3, containing all of the maps, for somewhere around 1200 Microsoft Points. That would be cheaper than buying all of them individually, yet still quite reasonable.
I bought Halo 3 when it was $60. I bought the Heroic map pack when it was 1200 points (which it was the first couple of months after being released). I bought the Legendary map pack when it was first released at 1200 points. I got the mythic map pack with Halo Wars limited edition, so I won’t include that. Then I bought Halo 3 ODST for $60 with mythic map pack #2. In total, I spent $150 for all Halo 3 content. I think the map packs at their price now and heroic map pack being free now should not be complained about.

I’m not really complaining as I already have ODST with all the maps. I’m just trying to make suggestions to get more people playing halo 3 again. I still play reach, but once in a while, I go back to Halo 3. However, I’m just surprised at how the majority of the playlists now require you to have all of the map-packs to play. I just think Bungie’s decision to do this and alienate most players was clearly disappointing.
It’s as if they should have already warned players who bought halo 3 that “by purchasing halo 3, you will be required to shell out more $$$ to continue playing the majority of the playlists once the map-packs are released.”
