Would you?

I’ve seeing a lot of hate recently regarding the new UNSC weaponry trailer’s choice of adding dubstep. I look at the forums and see a lot of people freaking out about it. Just incase you dont know the song from the trailer (still yet to be revealed) is not going to be on the original soundtrack for the game, which means no wub wub is going to be present in the game. I want to hear your opinions…would you buy a future Halo game if it had a couple of dubstep songs on the soundtrack and they songs were present in the game? I personally prefer older songs (ie: 70’s and 80’s) but I make a few exceptions for some dubstep songs. Leave your opinions below.

Making the choice to not buy a game simply due to the music within it doesn’t sound like a reasonable thing to do. I’m not a big fan of rap, but did it stop me from deciding to play some GTA? Not at all!

In other words, yes, I would. Assuming the overall game looks to be well-constructed and fun to play, I wouldn’t let a little dubstep stop me from buying the game!

It wouldn’t stop me from buying the game. I just don’t want wubster Chief.

Yah I agree but, I’ve just seen so many people thankful that they’re not including it. I thought it fits with that montage of guns. Would love to hear others opinions though.

Music is a big part of games. If a HALO GAME’s music sucked then I would boycott.

I would cry for humanity and buy a new mute button for after I’d worn out my first one. :frowning:

True, Halo is a very music-centric franchise. But I wouldn’t let ONE aspect of the game stop me from buying it.

It’s just not halo. That’s why a lot of people didn’t like it.

Of course not, Dubstep DOES NOT fit the Halo musical theme.

Halo music was beautiful with Marty from the ancient monks to the guitar solo.

You can’t just add dubstep if it doesn’t have a purpose other than to be loud and annoying.

Music conveys and important part of Halo’s story and the tone of the current situation.

Hmmm, good point there. I think a place where it could fit would be in a extremely quick paced firefight or big fast paced battle or something like that.

I couldn’t care less, once they still incorporate elements of previous Halo soundtracks, for the most part.

Precisely. Assuming the whole soundtrack isn’t entirely dubstep, I wouldn’t let it affect my decision to purchase it. I’d think it’d be terrible to ruin such a good game with dubstep if the soundtrack consisted entirely of it, but I don’t think it’d be a complete turn-off.

I didn’t have the entire soundtrack in mind when I made this but, more like 1-2/3 of it.

Nah. It would remind me too much of how corny it was when Bungie thought it would be extra cool to add songs from a couple rock bands in Halo 2. So imagine how much I’d hate it if 343 decided to add something as lame as dubstep to Halo’s soundtrack. I don’t want to have that particular part of the game ruined by the droning wub wub of a bad music genre.

they should have dubstep and classic halo music

i would not say that was pure dubstep in the unsc weaponery

As long as its an easter egg like the night club in Reach, then yes, that would be epic.

25% of Halo’s greatness is the music.

So to answer your question, no.

I have been a fan of techno for years. One of my favorite groups is Daft Punk, so I adjusted to Dubstep fairly easy and I like it. So yes I would buy.

Firefights in Halo are not fast paced enough to have dupstep playing at the backround. Maybe for high speed espace scene where building is about to explode and you have to just run and avoid being crushed by falling objects.

P.S
I really like dupstep so having that kind of scene would blow my mind.
