Would you want two Halo FPS studios?

Would you want two Halo FPS studios (heck, MS owns over a dozen studios now)? That way one of the studios could take 3 years to build an engine without this 5 year waiting game. And the other studio could have already finished the trilogy and Halo Infinite could be the real reboot it obviously wants to be.

I can’t say I’d really want to see Halo become a yearly series, however it would be neat to see some more spin-offs like ODST.

If there were two Halo studios I think it’d be cool if one made games for the main series and the other could do spin offs.

I agree with the previous posters. Also, I don’t mind waiting so long for the next game. It gives me some assurance that the devs are putting care into the next title. Furthermore, there has been plenty of content to consume while we wait: H5, MCC, HW2.

So it’d be like Forza where Turn 10 handles Motorsport and Playground Games does the Horizon games, right? Interesting.

Exactly. That way there’d be more focus and organization and we wouldn’t have to wait some extra years for an entry we were expecting because they went and did a different game instead, like how we have to wait so long for each Fallout and Elder Scrolls because the same studio makes both, constantly alternating between the two.

If, and only if, one studio was mainline and the second was spinoffs. I feel like yearly releases would cheapen the Halo brand.

I would prefer just 1 studio getting how to properly make Halo games first. 2 studios can just mess up the flow of the story and it could just turn out to be what CoD turned out to be.

Patience is a virtue, making a good product takes time and it’s worth to wait.

Though other studio could focus on another time period or alternate version of the Halo universe with perhaps different gameplay mechanics. It could definitely mean the continuation of split community but that is the case either way.

Indeed, one for multiplayer to appease the original Bungie-styled Halo fans, and 343 to go about doing their vision for those who wish to follow it.

My exact thoughts. If a new Halo game comes out every year the community will be even more divided. Lets say 50% want to play Halo 7, 25% play Halo Reach 2, and the other 25% Halo 4 anniversary. Not good.

I think the current of 1 studio dedicated to Halo that occasionally collaborates with other studios on projects is just fine. No need for two studios to alternate putting out Halo games.
