Would you still hate loadouts if...

…if the loadouts were kept in one or two playlists i.e. an Invasion playlist? Competitive playlists would still be kept untouched and untainted by the clutches of modern-game mechanics.

As much as Halo 2 may be a glorious wet dream for every competitive/hardcore player, Halo 4 needs a little more then just new weapons and vehicles to keep it ahead in the game. Thoughts?

I’d like to see them in Invasion again. It was the only gametype where they felt right.

Of course, i will continue to hate them even if they are not in the game.

No, but I really son’t think of them as “modern” or “progressive” at all. They just unbalance the game, and Halo Multiplayer is all about balance. If I wanted some choice driven, unfair game I would just go play CoD or BF. Not that they are bad (CoD kinda is) but y just aren’t what I’m looking for and what I think the rest of the big time Halo fans are looking for either. I’m all for change, but not in that direction.

I really want loadouts to return in Halo 4 and any future Halo titles. While they don’t belong in every single gametype, things like Invasion wouldn’t be the same without them. In addition, crazy-fun gametypes can be made for customs, and they are great for machinima purposes.

How are they great for machinimas?

Because you can set up what weapons each character carries, spawn them with any grenades or armor abilities they may need. It’s very useful in those regards.

Like I said in my original post, keep loadouts out of most gametypes, but don’t get rid of them all together.

I think they should be an option in customs but nothing more.

Yes. Better to have the option than to remove it. The more customization, the better, I say
