REQ Points and Warzone?
Instead, armor, emblems, assassinations, and other items are unlocked by rank or commendations like Halo Reach.
Yes, but not as much. The game is fun but gets old pretty fast due to the lack of variety in gametypes and fun maps.
There better be btb heavies if theres no warzone. Otherwise I probably wouldnt be playing for long. Maybe long enough to just unlock mk 4.
I probably wouldn’t. Grinding by playing a ton of matches for points is one thing, but grinding with specific weapons, vehicles and medals in mind just sounds awful.
I would still play it but honestly halo is headed in a better direction than it was after 4. Now if 343i could read some of comments and learn what the community really enjoys I think we could have the best halo game, fingers crossed!
Probably not as much.
I keep reading that they are adding firefight or that they have? I Hope that they do. I also hope that they have a Classic style Firefight like in ODST but also have a “Warzone type of Firefight”. Also here is an idea for 343, they should have something like Horde mode (from Gears of War) or something that allows you to build a base and have character classes.

There will be warzone firefight. No classic though, as far as we know.
I might have actually have been playing if the Reqs and Warzone didn’t exist. The main reason being that Halo 5 would have been in a far more complete state at launch. Its blatantly obvious that Warzone and Reqs were huge resource hogs. BTB with proper actual maps would have been there at launch and Ball would have likely been there as well, if not more.
Not only that but I bet Halo 5’s mechanics would have been noticeably different if 343 didn’t have account for Warzones maps sizes. Halo 5 multiplayer’s fatal flaw is that it tried to satisfy two fundamentally different gameplay styles. They essentially tried to have two games in one and that inevitably leads to compromise that left no-one(in the general sense) happy.
Halo 5 would likely be a very different game had Warzone and reqs not entered the discussion.
Probably would just cauz its halo classic right .
Would be weird but I would get use to it.
Just make sure you throw in a social playlist with the same game types/additional game types, and not just restrict it to skill-based matchmaking.
Warzone is pretty much all I play and I love unlocking stuff so I am pretty sure I would have moved on by now without them.
I would not play as much as I would in Halo 5. I liked other Halos but I really like REQ Points and Warzone also.
Take out warzone for more social playlists and actually unlocking stuff instead of the garbage microtransaction system in place now? -Yoink- yeah
Yeah I think I would. It may not be as much fun though
I wouldn’t be playing much anyways, because I’m in the final semester of 12 grade, and Halo 5 doesn’t play much like a classic Halo game. And there isn’t any Spartan Ability-less playlist so another reason to not play it. But I definitely would be playing more had the game not had a microtransaction system. I don’t mind Warzone so much, and would have appreciated the larger BTB with AI thing that 343i was going for, had the game mode not been plagued with exploits in WZA and in WZ, had there been weapon pickups on the map, and had the map count for WZ been so small.
No Microtransactions and the ability to pursue what I want when I want? Plus no Warzone so a focus on more core arena modes? Hell yeah! Sign me up!

that’s what causes it to get old. Games with grinding get boring real fast. Halo Reach is more fun now because most people finished where they wanted to achieve. like i started enjoying it after i have 100% completion on rank etc but at first i was like “im done. this game is boring bye.” but when the game finally got more people to finish and more people had free time to start playing custom games, thats when i came back and it was fun again. grinding truly does kill the enjoyment. People may not know it in their subconscious but it is in fact true. Halo 2, i played more than anything and that was because everything was 100% complete when i started the game. I pop in the disk and i have an elite or spartan choice and there we go. and than i played the game more than even halo 3, which is the 2nd most game i played, and ya. so custom games, the more people play them, the more replay value there is.
nope would have 100% achievements and then moved on
Absolutely. In fact, I would play Halo 5 even more because then I could track my progress toward the next item I want to unlock. With the way it is now, I just open a few packs, get discouraged because I get nothing noteworthy, and go play something else.
