Would you spend money if you could make it?

I’ve seen a number of posts between here, Reddit and Twitter about how the battle pass isn’t terrible, but banking on it being the only way to really… Progress… Anything at all was a horrid move.

I see a large portion of the community asking things to return to a more Reach/MCC UI

This being challenges and rank. To further this, the approach to the armory should be a 1:1 to reach. With the ability to purchase all armors and said within that realm are available at any point in time

Here’s how I speculate this could work. Armor still exists in the battle pass, and the store. It can be acquired by progress In the pass (so 10 usd basically) or individually for it’s standard price.
Let’s say 500-700 a helm, 250 shoulders wrist visor thigh, 500 chest.

And let’s say there two of each aforementioned item, that’s well above the 10 dollar value.

HOWEVER, it’s still in the store and creds can be earned by weekly challenges and play challenges of heft

I.E. Kill 500 Spartans with headshots. : 50 creds.
Complete 343 games of BTB: 75 creds

And so forth.

If you can earn roughly 150-200 creds a week, and the armory is always open to you; are you more likely to buy credits here and there?
It’s a step in the right direction for me, and I might be coerced.

Along those lines, but more commercially viable, they could make it a discount.

eg. Nail the weekly challenge and get 10% off your next purchase in the store.

Complete a game seven days in a row another 5%.

My idea is to have Cr earnable but in limited fashion. Best places to put Cr earning is in Events.

Every Event you get to earn up to 1000 Cr, this will get people coming back to play Events. Every 100 score earned during the Event period will earn you 1 Cr, with Event playlist having x2 multiplier for scoring.

Every 1 level up will give you 50Cr, and milestone level ups (every 10 levels maybe?) will give you 200Cr. We will need a Career/Prestige system for this though.

This will also have to change up how Battlepass is purchased, so I’ll say remove the Cr in the Battlepass in favor of earnable Cr from other sources. You have to make players choose if they want the Battlepass or to simply buy armor sets. You want both in timely fashion? Then you gotta cough up some cash.

Fact of the matter is that going F2P is a tough deal to balance if your monetization doesn’t feel fair. If it feels fair, people will pay up. If it feels like robbery, people will get burnt.
