I’m not very fond of RTS games, not at all, in fact, but I played the demo of Halo Wars, and it was fun. I may have the opportunity to pick up a physical copy for $13, and I’m wondering if it’s worth the buy. It would come with some DLC, too.
In the demo, I did find it annoying how, when commanding a leader, spamming a command button would also spam their various lines of dialogue. Is there a way to disable this, at all?
I recommend Halo Wars for anyone that’s looking to kill time and not have it be ridiculously difficult. The game is fun but can be tedious at times.
I enjoy it. Definitely a fun game to play, although it’s tough to make a great console RTS. I think a lot of the editions come with the first DLC pack - I’m pretty sure I still have an unused code sitting around somewhere.

I would recommend you at least give it a shot. It’s a great game though its hard to get into because its an RTS game. I had no problems with it because I grew up play Starcraft but alot of console gamers weren’t a huge fan of Halo Wars. If you can’t get into it after trying, spend some time to read up on the story and watch the cutscenes just so you don’t miss out on that
It has a really good Halo story and is a fairly simple RTS game so I would recommend it for casual players. But try to find whatever special edition it has since it will come with the DLC and is pretty much the same price as the base game at this point.
