I would prefer a team of 2/3 Spartan lls and 1/3 Spartan llls.
A team of III’s, because the S-II’s don’t have a huge amount of personality, thanks to their intense training. S-III’s don’t suffer from the “brainwashing” which could make them interesting characters.
If there were a movie, I would rather it focus on marines or ODSTs, to see the human face of the war.
That makes sense, thanks for the reply!
There is a Halo movie already coming out,its more of a short film than an epic blockbuster now though…
Its called Halo:Faith

That’s only a fan made movie though.

True, but it’s still a movie. Theres guys who’ve done the visual effects of Avatar working on it too. The whole film was shot entirely using a Green screen and perhaps one or two actual enviromental areas.

So you are telling me… that a 19-year old director with no past experience managed to hire the guy from Avatar?
I don’t like the Faith group. They are putting out mixed messages(they claimed they finished the movie over a year ago, then said they were done except for a few effects, now they aren’t even recording yet) and they slipped up once and asked for donations for a theater when someone had just said the movie wasn’t done.
That post was immediately removed and covered up.
Point is, Operation Chasity has been around for years and has actually created props, a warthog, and much more. I think Faith is just a group of kids buying commission art trying to bum some money off Halo without getting their -Yoinks!- sued.

Spartan II’s have quite a lot of personality, judging by the books. Ironically, in Halo: Reach, Jorge was the one that showed the most personality, and he was the only Spartan II on the team.

There’s also a movie called, “Operation Chastity” that follows a group of Marines.
OT: I would like to see Spartan-II’s. Spartan-III’s would be nice because they have more personality, but S-II’s are badas*. Haha. Overall, I think ODST’s would make the best movie. They aren’t super soldier, but kick a helluva lot of as*. Plus, they’re very human and have distinct personalities.

Yeah, I guess. I would like to see a full on movie though. Great actors (Don’t have to be well known), great effects, great facts, etc. The story doesn’t matter though, it’s Halo, therefore it’s automatically great.
actually, halo: faith is a short. its not the length of a full movie. anyone who went to E3 would know this.
personally, what the team consists of is entirely redundant to me. spartan III’s do have some personality, but its not much of a improvement from spartan II’s (hell, even jorge showed more emotion than every SIII in noble team.)
I’d prefer both because it probebly be like John Rambo (S-ll’s) and A-team (S-lll’s) working together. LOL!
But seriously, seeing both Spartans would be good.
at this point in the canon, it’d have to be spartan III’s unless they did a stand alone story about the II’s during the main stint of the war. But with a movie, the ending result would have to be something somewhat substantial to the war in some capacity… and it wouldn’t be able to introduce very many…if any, new spartan IIs. The Spartan IIIs make better characters cuz they’re flawed in their personalities, and there’s plenty that could be introduced, especially in the headhunter squads
Spartan IIs had personality in the books, where it is much easier to convey. Kurt, anyone?
okay… after citing Jorge and Kurt and the books in their entirety, I guess it is easy to say that the IIs do have personality, but the difference is that they’re not totally flawed… The IIIs are and that is something that great characters are made of…plus ppl eat up that anti-hero stuff
No Peter Jackson, no movie. I want to see Fall of Reach all the way to Halo 3 as a film franchise. But Since Jackson is off ( Yet rumored to be back on ) I don’t think it will work. Only Weta and New Line could pull it off.
IIs. They’re way more badass and engaging. IIIs are -Yoink!- compared to IIs - look at the Halo Wars cutscene with Gray Team (if I remember correctly) and Forge fighting the Arbiter and his troops. Those 3 -Yoink- all over Noble Team in a single cut scene.
I’d like to see a movie with Chief and Blue team - preferably a movie based on The Fall of Reach novel, just don’t show Chief’s adult face (get crafty).
Yeah a movie about a squad of odsts would be great. But still I wont believe Halo Faith will come out any time soon

Halo: Faith gets released November 20th or thereabouts.
The issue with any video game adaption is creating something that will actually work as a film. There’s not enough to any Halo game to allow for a character-driven story. And those are the ones that sell better.
One of the things I liked about Transformers 3 was that it focused less on epicness and more on the story and characters.
I’m happy enough with the books. I dont think there is any need for a movie, espicially on Spartans, but possibly a CGI short, say a recreation of a Spartan Mission (for example, the Battle of Sigma, where John and the rest of Blue team detonated a Fenris Nuclear Warhead to clear covenant forces.)
