Yes, I know my thread’s name is extremely original. Now, to the important part. I was playing Homefront today and thought that something similar to the Battle Commander gametype would be cool for Reach or other Halo Games. In this gametype, whenever a player reaches a killing spree/streak, they are given a bounty. Say I just got a killing spree in BTB. 2 players on the enemy team are notified and an objective marker appears on-screen of my location at the spot I got my last kill (that is where I was standing, not where the person I killed was standing). If they kill me, they get a bonus of, say, 100 cR. While this is not a huge reward, one kill is not exactly a huge accomplishment. But if they fail and I continue to move forward and get a Killing Frenzy, then now 4 enemy players have me marked and the bounty is set to 200 cR. This can keep moving forward farther and farther. It definitely adds a twist to the game, as well as giving players their oh-so-lovely credits. So, would you like it or should it stay in Homefront only? Feel free to tweak it any way you like, I was just giving an example of how it could work.
Yes. I’m pretty sure in Homefront, this system was implemented to combat Camping but in the end it worked perfectly well.
Maybe a separate gametype.
Homefront’s awesome btw.
Well I was thinking a slayer revamp similar to the one they did when Power Slayer came out. It wouldn’t take much, just add a Bounty toggle to it. But I definitely think the cR should not be a set amount, because then people will be rigging Custom Games with the Bounty option to credit boost.
And as far as Homefront being good: yes, yes it is. I only have the demo currently, but the single player looks promising and I love the Multiplayer for it so I’m looking into buying it.
sounds cool to me
Smurf! It’s been a while.
