Would you like to have this option?

In earlier builds of the game, we saw team-games of Orange VS. Green and Yellow VS. Purple (or vice versa), seemingly a feature added to improve gameplay for the color-blind.

I, for one, would not mind playing with this feature. I think it would improve replayability, in fact. My proposal is that there could be an option to get random color combos for team-based games.
In other words:

Team colors:

  • Option 1: Pure Red Vs. Blue at all times.
    Option2: Select preferred Color combo.
Option 3: Get random color combo each time.

The color combo displayed by your xbox 360 console would not have to be universal to all other consoles involved in that game. Old-school fans could still potentially see red and blue players while you got i.e. orange and green.

It would be neat, if the color cheme would change depending on the gametype. For slayer games, red vs blue and for objective games, green vs orange or something like that.

I wouldn’t mind having it in the game if it helps you play the game. I would just roll with the red and blue though.

I am quite not sure how that would add to replayablity. Sure it’s a cool feature if you want to choose your colors but it doesn’t really add anything to the game. I prefer forced colors and leave the other flavors for multi-team gametypes or whatever else 343 can cook up.

Of course that is my preference. If the feature was in the game, it wouldn’t be kill my enjoyment of Halo 4. It’s relatively minor thing IMO.

Thanks for the feedback.
Another reason Im mentioning this, is that I believe its something 343 could implement at present time. (they dont need to rewrite the engine or create more concepts or anything.)

Or has the game gone gold? I dont know…

Well, as mentioned, it doesn’t have to be globally universal. You could still play with whatever you’d like while your teammates see other colors. The reason I mention replayability, is simply that, to me, color variation plays a big role. (forge world, need I say more…)

Halo 4 is almost finished but it hasn’t officially gone Gold just yet.

Well there you have it. And this is just a simple finishing touch.

The game is basically finished. They are fixing bugs at this point and not adding anything new to the game.

Yeah. I know. But what I’m basically saying is that this is not adding a new thing…
