Would you like Sandtrap in Halo 4?

I know 343 want to make their own maps, and I support this completely, because, really, a map gets a little boring after 10 years…

If there was any map to be remade, I’d pick Sandtrap. It’s my favorite map of all time. The first Halo map I played on, and I have some great memories on that map.

So, would you like this map back?

not really, I like the land mines around the map and I want elephants back, but the map itself doesnt need to come back

No

Actually it does contribute because it answers the question in one simple word. >.<

There’s no discussion there. And I’m sure it says somewhere in the rules that one-word posts are considered spam.

no i want nothing but new maps for halo 4 no remakes, but i would like to see something like sand trap for forge purposes

excellent map but I’d rather they just made new uns

No, but an elephant would be kush.

There is no rule on such a thing, not on the Waypoint forums.

Besides, you really should have made this topic a poll, it would prevent the one word answers.

OT: I don’t want to see any old maps in Halo 4 until we see how the gameplay mechanics are and what these ‘abilities’ are for our armour and how they can affect map control.

A successor, perhaps a time-lapsed future version with vegetation beginning to creep across the desert? Definitely.

A direct remake? No thanks.

Perhaps a map similar to Sandtrap along the lines of Sandtrap but with a different scene and have it fit in better with the new abilities of Spartans

WOULD YOU LIKE SANDTRAP IN HALO 4?

Why yes, yes I would or a map like it. I loved Sandtrap because it gave the Warthog a lot of space and wasn’t that cluttered. A lot of the BTB maps in Halo:Reach are too cluttered imo. It also had some cqb elements(inside the structures) that were fun, especially running around with the Hammer.

Also Elephants…

YES i would love that map especially with the new graphics

Yes, it was fun and the Elephant made it even more fun.

How is that spam? He’s stating that he doesn’t want the map by saying “No”. Learn the Internet.

Topic: No. I rather not have any remakes at all in Halo 4. I want creative, and original maps. I’m sick of remakes. The only thing I want from Sandtrap are the Elephants.

Also here’s the problem about direct remakes:

> > No remakes, please. Every remake we have gotten has proved not to work with the new game’s mechanics. The only real exceptions are the boxed-in arenas from CE and H2. Warlock and Heretic were just fine as maps. Last Resort actually didn’t play that bad, either, but Halo 2 and 3 were so similar.

> This. Game-to-game, a thousand tiny details in the the game mechanics are changed, either accidentally or on purpose. Average killtimes, effective range of the utility weapon, strafe, movement speeds, bullet magnetism and aim-assist, lag, host advantage, hitscan-vs-projectile, spawn mechanics, grenade count, bounce and explosion radius… not to mention weapons changes, e.g. the Needle Rifle replacing the Carbine. The end result is that a map designed to work beautifully in one game isn’t necessarily going to work at all in another.

I think Reach suffers from Forge World’s generic and bland design. Too much gray and green. There is nearly ZERO contrast to this. I would love for Halo 3’s colorful visuals in Reach; one of my personal biggest disappointments with the game.

Sounds pretty sweet. I’ve always loved the way that map plays too.
