Would you like new Covenant species?

Remember, there are millions of planets in a galaxy. Of course many of them are gas giants, or just straight-up barren rocks, but as far as the Halo Universe is concerned, there could easily be plenty of other species in the Milky Way. The Covenant has found several species on different planets, and either forced them to join OR the species wanted to join (You get the perk of being part of an empire). The latest Covenant species are the Yonhet, which is the species of Axl from Halo Nightfall. They don’t really participate in combat, but they could definitely wield a gun to defend themselves. Would you like more species to join the Covenant. If anything, I’d really like the Sharquoi (formerly Drinol) to join. Apparently, they DO exist in the Halo universe and were going to be a boss in Halo 2. They are 5 meters tall and described as powerful and beastly. Would you like new unique Covenant units such as these?

yea i would want to see more covenant

I think something large, menacing and devastating would be awesome. The Hunter species is nice and all but I think something twice their size would be one of the coolest enemies ever. Something similar to the Goliath on Evolve except more of a quadruped.

Like so?

Halo’s species have to be more unique. Sorry to say, but asari look like something from star wars. I want cool crazy aliens, not aliens that are are practically human, but have different colored skin. The Didact is 11ft tall, has little quill things on his head, has fangs, etc. Even Krogans from Mass Effect just look like bulbous space frogs. Huragok look like no other sci-fi aliens I have seen. Brutes actually have some pretty interesting cultures. Elites are -Yoink- badass as aliens can get, etc. Mass Effects aliens tend to be more humanoid. Their voices, movements, etc. Meanwhile, Halo goes for more of the creature vibe. Bird/Raptor guys, Dinosaur looking guys, Gorilla Rhino’s (one description of brutes that kind of makes sense because of their hard grey skin and rocky toes. Hell, even Scarabs are basically one giant infantry unit. Halo’s cast of characters ranges from the small but dangerous, to large swift warriors, to brutal tribal warriors, to mindless flying bugs that have no sense of self preservation.

You haven’t played Mass Effect to much, have you?

The Universe on a Canonical standpoint has many, many species we have yet to physically see. Only mentioned in books, or other media, but if those species begin to become visually seen just as we saw one in Halo:NightFall. Then we can see many great new additions in the future to come, as there are still multiple Covenant Fringe species who have yet to be seen.

I personally wish for them to bring the (Cut-Out) Stalker ‘Species’. They seemed very cool and interesting. 343 implemented them as a flood form, but we don’t really know where that flood form came from! We have the elite, human, and brute flood forms, the Tank Flood form from hunters, however the Stalker Forms look exactly or closely like the Stalkers they cut from the games. ](http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20061029002846/halo/images/6/66/Stalker.jpg)That or if I were to make my own, they won’t be a part of the covenant. They are called “Yubels,” humans nick name them “Forerunner Pirates,” “Space Pirates,” & “Tech Hoarders” because of their nasty habit of collecting technology for their own purposes. They would have their own empire known as the “DarkStorm Empire.” Located on the worlds “Yubel I & Yubel II” that are both doubled the size of Jupiter and are mostly jungle/desert like.

He’s right. I played mass effect 1 twice and know most of the species appearance, and they are either human-like(asari) or look like animals(one of the species looks a lot like elephants and another race look like moles)

The hannar are pretty unique in ME and the rachnai.

Anyway I’d like tosee more of the roaches from nightfall. What’s their story?

They aren’t roaches, they are Lekgolo aka Hunter Worms. Hunters are literally made of a colony of Lekgolo placed in armor. Same thing with scarabs.

There is the Covenant Fringe, which the Yohnet are apart of, so there maybe be anywhere for the current eight or nine to fifty species in the Covenant alone. On top of all the planets that the Covenant glassed and species they destroyed before contact with humanity. On top of that we have all the “ancient” races like the Forerunner/Prometheans, Ancient Humans, and the Flood/Precursors.

I’d love to see the Sharquoi make an appearance in the universe though

May be a giant jackal version.

343i need to recycle the deleted Covenant species into the Covenant Fringe.

No. I meant the species from the human planet at the beginning that work with the shanghelli.

Yonhet. They’re called the Yonhet. They were mentioned earlier in the thread.

Luckily, the random popping out of nowhere Covenant Fringe has allowed new species to come in with a reasonable explanation.

I always found it stupid that, as gigantic as the galaxy is, there’s only 10 (12 assuming you count the Precursors and Sharquio, and even then that’s if the Sharquoi intelligent) intelligent species living in it? Especially when the Librarian planned on saving waaay more? My rear.

Ah. Sorry. Didn’t know that was their species. Watching night fall was the first time I’d seen em.

I’d like to see a story about the pre devolution human empire. Maybe a series about the run upto their devolution. From what i read in cryptum it sounds interesting

Skirmisher with Combat blades.
