Would you like assassinations in multiplayer?

Yes, I already know they’re in there. Yes, I’m already certain 343i will keep them in.

Would you guys like there to be no assassinations?

Just the good old Halo 3 multiplayer?

I always disliked Halo 3’s “BONK! Yoo ded”. Such a bore.

Assassinations are greatly needed for entertainment.

Amen to that

assassinations are awesome. I like them a lot, it was one of the few things in reach I really liked. Whats great is you don’t even have to use them if you don’t want to!

This. ALL OF IT!!!

What would you rather do:
Punch someone in the back or snap their neck like a chicken bone?

Amen

I don’t mind assassinations but I won’t perform them personally. And I will yoink when my teammates try to assassinate.

I do hope the difference between a quick behind the back kill and a drawn out assassination is a bit more pronounced in Halo 4 than it was in the past. I do however like assassinations quite a bit.

Ninja food!

I would like an option to turn them on/off

While they look cool, and I use them in campaign, I don’t like to use them in multiplayer, because of all those Yoink-ing scumbags, but the amount of time that I tap the melee button, and then I randomly go into a full blown assassination annoys me, so I would like to see a “disable assassinations in wargames” button in the settings.

For me they are always satisfying and strangely not repetitive.

That’s just wrong.

Don’t be a jerk…

I think that assassinations are a really good idea, but it stops gameplay, and puts you and your kill at risk. You have the risk of being killed while standing wherever you are performing your assassination, and your kill loses their shields. So I think that is they do add assassinations, (which they have already confirmed that they are) They person getting killed shouldn’t be able to be shot by other players but only in team games. In FFA they could be up for grabs.

Disagree. Yoinking can save the assassin. If you’re so butthurt about so-called “kill-stealing”, just beat down instead.

Yes!!! Great idea! The biggest problem I had with assassinations were jerks on your own team yoinking you. That style of assassinations was used in the new Section 8 game and it worked out perfectly. It can be Show stopped but they should not be yoinked.

1: No. Kill the person shooting the assassin. THAT is what saves the assassin…
2: That term is outdated.
3: It is kill-stealing.
4: No. People shouldn’t have to choose. Just let people have their kills. Problem Solved.

Yoinking does not save the assassin it creates jerks that like to kill steal. Show Stoppers save the assassination.

  1. It can save your teammate assassin. Here’s a scenario. Instead of a simple beat down your teammate tries to assassinate when there’re other enemies around . He endangers your team by leaving an enemy team chance to kill him and get a showstopper. (2 kill points difference between a showstopper and successful assassination). In that situation I’ll try to yoink. I won’t yoink when I see it’s safe. The problem is people always try to assassinate, no matter what.
  2. In a team game the team score is the only thing that matters. You can’t kill-steal in a team game whether it’s Halo or GoW.

All you have to do, OP is tap B rather than hold it. Problem solved.
