Forge has moved leaps and bounds from Halo 3 to Reach. The simple concept of bieng able to play around placing a few large containers on last resort is what started the ability to create huge bases and multi-tier maps in Reach. But it needs to be taken even futher in Halo 4, right now we can only manipulate forge objects, limiting what you can create to the map you’re building on. If you could also manipulate the terrain, there would be no such limit. You could create a natural looking terrain, yet still level out the ground beneath your base. Fans of the Far Cry series would have already seen how much potential this has, combining it with Halo’s custom games would fully unlock that potential. All in favour say aye!
I like the whole “find your map location” thing… it makes halos map editer differnt
aye!
- they wont do it because its a bad marketing item… people wont want to buy DLC maps when they have all the kit to make it themself.

I really hope that they do it. Even if people did remake the DLC maps, 1-The environment would never be the same, and 2-It wouldn’t be in matchmaking, so if people really wanted the maps that bad, they would just buy them.
It would be amazing; I loved Far Cry 2’s editor but personally found it too limiting. 343i has to implement an advanced but easy to use map editor in Halo 4.
and once again i m going to say it on this thread too, FORGE?MATCHMAKING NEEDS TO BE ON A SEPERATE DISK, there is no reason forge or matchmaking needs to be on the same disk as campaign, this will increase you forge capacatiy 10 fold or maybe even more, with about 3 to 4 gigs that can be used solely on forge, as aposed to the 500mg maybe less that it is now.

Then I can finally make maps that are on par with yours…

Halo: Reach does not take all of the space it could with one disk. Your argument is invalid
Actually I would love a terrain editor.
Yes. A terrain editor would definitely improve Forge capabilities. I’d like a broadened spectrum of items such as trees available to be placed. I’ve always wanted to make a map that was fairly wooded, just loaded with timber pines a’la Halo: CE. A terrain editor would also serve to supplement this idea of mine.
yes a terrain editor is what we need, I think that ice snow rain the grounds should be slippery like the ice in halo ce

But people would buy dlcs if they came with forge expansion packs for the map editor with new objects. In that sense it could be a selling point.
Rainforest map <3 and rocks rain water grass editer!!!

I would love that! I’d make a bunch of slippery ice platforms over an pond with a kill barrier just under the surface of the water >:D
completely 100% agree. Forge 3.0 needs to blow us away
> I like the whole “find your map location” thing… it makes halos map editer differnt
I honestly don’'t know what to say… I hate that part. I’d much rather modify the terrain to fit my map than having to adapt to Bungie’s (343’s now). Besides, when I forge in most places, it feels more like “paridiso” or “alaska” than my map.

my arguments invalid?, so what your saying is… you want campaign and forge on one disk slimming down the possiblity of all that forge can be simply for conveniance…how can my argument be invalid when its common sence that “campaign takes up more space then a blank disk…” you dont get more room by shoving forge in with campaign thats illogical making your point invalid.

Win.
Anyway I’m pretty sure that Bungie had to delete stuff from forge world due to lack of memory space. As well as remove some custom game options. Don’t quote me on it though…
well not only that but if campaign is on a seperate disk then matchmaking/forge you could fit a great story alone. more story, more fighting, more fun. I dont know about anyone else but im sick of 3 to 6 hour games with no plot.
