Just wondering. I’m sure many of us were bummed when Kat decided to go all E.T. on the broken bridge (and the Wilhelm Scream…) instead of continuing with the rest of the forces to that massive freaking battle we see during Tip of the Spear background.
So would you like to see a big scale, vehicle based battle on the Guardians campaign?
Altough, I’m not sure how that would play out on Legendary… On past Halo games, your Warthog would lose against a Ghost easily. Now several light vehicles, armor and whatnot?
I would love that.
Off topic, but why was the underlining feature taken from us?
Even better: a massive Mantis battle where every player spawns with a mantis.

Probably because the Xbox 360 wouldn’t be able to handle many AIs

Because Kat always drives to horrible places, like that cliff, or over my face…
I would love it.
But Kat driving is the best ever.
I bet you can’t drive any better
I’ve been waiting for such a moment since Bungie teased it before Halo: Reach (and never delivered).
Wouldn’t see how it would fit in H5:G though, it seems like this will be a build up game, and H6 will blow us away.
I feel Reach placed too much priority on graphics while Halo 4 tried to have a compromise between gameplay and graphics and ended up lacking in both.
Anyway, if the Xbone can handle it, then it’s probably an inevitability in Guardians. Large scale fights would be refreshing, everything up until now has mostly been small skirmishes with a few large encounters in between.
Would love a giant vehicle fight
That would be insane, have a battalion of Grizzlys charging a covenant army while broadswords and seraphs dogfight above.

Halo 4 is by far the best looking Halo
Yes, a thousand times over. Vehicular combat is as much a Halo staple as anything else you can mention. It’s about time it got its due and not just another “race warthog against nonexistent clock” or “drive scorpion down narrow road, dismount to continue on foot” scenario.
The space combat in Reach and Halo 4 were a decent start… but we want bigger, better, heavier. Definitely heavier.
This is something I have always wanted. I think I might have even made a thread to this affect about a year ago.
Well, its good to see this is something the community wants. Anyone else here ever glitched on the games to get high amounts of AI, both friendly and enemies, to battle between them?
My fav is doing that on the second TotS AA gun. 13 Marines, Kat, a Falcon, a Pelican and me, against 3 Wraiths, drones, hunters, elites, grunts, jackals, skirmishers and a Zealot… Good stuff. Not a big scale vehicle battle, for fun to watch the huge massacre and be part of it.
And a pain in the -yoink- to set up…

It most certainly was not!
__Off Topic:__The colours are all very bland and washed out, and the skyboxes (and game in general) has nothing on Reach, other than a couple of moments within the campaign with amazing graphics.
And in regards to the multiplayer, most maps in H4 looked utterly terrible. We see MUCH better textures and saturation in Reach!
I think the main problem was the art-style. I know these are completely different artists but… it didn’t have that ‘Halo’ feel; nor one that carried any sort of icon.
[[sorry for bad quality]]Halo 4 (Sub-par for a 2012 game):

Halo Reach (Boneyard MP map, look at the textures)
Halo 4 (Not a bad sky-box but looks to much like a screen where as the next image from Reach has a realistic moving environment)

Halo Reach (need I say more…)
I don’t even think it’s the artists, but more the engine they’re working on. 343 did afterall create the final map pack (Defiance I think) for Halo Reach and those maps were very nice looking.
P.s. Sorry, couldn’t get the links working for some reason
Absolutely, I honestly can’t believe Tip of the Spear is not a more infamous level. It was seriously the worst tease of a level I have ever seen. A large scale armored attack with hogs, tanks, Falcons, multiple scarabs with frigate support? That sounds awesome! now go drive along narrow side passages where none of the interesting battles are taking place…
Tip of the Spear is pretty much all my issues with the Reach campaign in one neat package, but I digress.
I would love to see a proper large scale battle in a Halo campaign, preferably with multiple factions and multiple ways to complete the ultimate objective whatever it may be. If you grab a Mongoose with a rocket wielding passenger its a sprint through a gauntlet of enemy fire, jump in a Scorpion/Mantis and it is an all out slugfest, etc.
It does not take a face meltingly pretty game to create an epic vehicle segment, I hope 343 focuses having greater numbers of smart enemies and allies rather than pure visual output so that we can actual participate in battles like backgrounds of tip of the spear rather than watch little toy cars drive around toy ghosts.

[Heck yeah!
](- YouTube)Yep, that was one of the more prominent encounters in Reach. There was a lot of lag during that fight though.
