I for one would love a playlist where you have limited ammo, no ammo crates, no time limit, 10 lives and steadily increasingly difficult waves and skulls and the game doesn’t end until everone’s dead with all lives gone. Like FF limited but without the time or wave limit. I don’t know why it isn’t already there :C

There’s quite a few good mixtures of settings in firefight that I have no idea why they aren’t in matchmaking. Basically all FF matchmaking is in a nutshell is rocket spamming, which is boring and dull as hell. There really needs to be a more challenging experience similar to what the OP has in mind. Firefight is only enjoyable if there’s a good chance of you dying.
If there’s no threat, there’s no thrill.

Hmmm…I’d say heroic or legendary but I’m leaning toward heroic.

What your discribing is ODST firefight and it needs to come back, I agree. Gun racks with limited ammo was a lot more fun than infinite ammo. It really made it feel like survival.

In a nutshell yeah. Maybe even modify the health and movement speed a little and remove AAs or even loadouts to just pistol + AR/DMR? IDK I’d like it to be challenging but some people may be put off if it’s too hard.

343 should at least have this in the playlists for people that want to play alone.
I generally don’t like limited gametypes because it usually forces me to stick behind cover and run away from enemies.
I don’t think that this playlist could be affordable although I really want it. But it is difficult to implement because ODST’s Firefight could last up to 2-3 hours, maybe more if you have skilled players. I don’t think that there would be a Matchmaking Playlist in any game that wouldn’t have time limit.

I mean you’d still be effectivly playing for the same time as if you were on MP MM, the only difference is you’re in the same game for the entire period of time rather than playing multiple games.
And I’m not going to name them but several other games I can think of have unlimited horde modes in online multiplayer.

I actually agree with you, 343 needs to have ODST classic in matchmaking. That would be cool.

Yes, but don’t forget that if i quit i lose game complete cR and i may suffer a ban. I may not have 3 hours to spend playing Halo Firefight…

That’s understandable. But in ODST you wouldn’t have started a game of FF with your friends if you had to go in an hour would you? It’s the same here, just don’t search if you don’t have the time.

Agreed. But in ODST i didn’t have problems with quitting as it was Xbox LIVE party and in addition you are right to say that i shouldn’t search but what if the match lasts more than i expected? Don’t forget that in ODST’s Firefight you gained lives in almost every Bonus Round. I mean that if you are skilled you can have up to how many? 15? 20 Lives? Anyway i agree with the idea but it can be implemented without the ban thing…

Yeah so that you can have unlimited lives,4x Overshields and invurnerability and gain 500,000 cR per match! I mean, you can’t control default settings!
