…the money went straight to thecrzedspartan? I really feel like, while a free pack for the emblem is a nice gesture by 343, it would have been even nicer if it was cheap and proceeds went to the right cause.
It would make the emblem more special in the wild because it would show everyone you cared, you helped. Not only that but it’s the first animated emblem in all of Halo history.
I might be barking up the wrong tree, but when I saw the post by Josh Holmes and subsequently opened up the pack, I couldn’t help but feel like this could be been the only REQ pack I’d actually buy, not for an awesome amount of goodies, but for the cause.

I’d agree with this, but I think the emblem was designed to commemorate the outpouring of Halo community support when it happened. There was a gofundme page that got a lot of exposure from community members and 343 employees alike.
