a 720 at launch if Microsoft and 343 released the rumored Halo 1/2/3 HD pack and included full online multiplayer support and left everything exactly the way it was?
I’d buy the new Xbox anyway, and I’d be satisfied with a Halo 2 remake, but if they came out with this I’d be all over it.

Halo 3 is in HD with active online servers & Halo 1 HD came out in 2011.

Did you say, Halo 2 HD Remake? Yoink yes I would buy that on Day1! Best Halo game IMO being remade in HD? Can’t stop me from getting that! (-Yoink!- Elite Honor Guards in HD? Too much sexiness to handle!)
However, Halo 2 HD will come out in 2014, while Halo 5 comes out in 2015. Which means Halo 2 HD would be similar to how Halo CEA worked with CEA map pack for Reach.
And Halo 3 HD? No, that’s stupid.

Halo 1 & 3 are already HD, so it’ll just be Halo 2 HD you’d actually be getting new and yes, I would buy it as it was a good game even though the multiplayer was ruined by glitches.
However, they wouldn’t introduce a new multiplayer to compete with Halo 4’s, if you believe that, you’re kidding yourself. They’d link it’s multiplayer into Halo 4’s like Anniversary’s linked into Reach.
Maybe for the sake of having all halo games. But i’d probably never touch the online. I rather enjoy the MP we have now. I’ve tried playing halo 3 and 2 online after halo 4. even reach. It feels too slow and awkward for me. 1-3 gave me good memories and i’m glad they were there. But going backwords in terms of MP would make gameplay too stale for me to play it consistantly.
TBH i don’t even know what you could gain form this thread. halo 3 would not get an HD remake. Maybe after halo 5-6 is out. And if halo 2 and 3 both managed to be remade (providing they could pull the money out of there -Yoink- to fund this and advertise it and NOT go broke) It wouldn’t feature MP. They shut down the servers for old games to make room for newer games.
To be short this is unrealistic to the highest degree.
even if they came out with a halo 2 hd remake it would probably also be like ce anniversary coming just with a map pack for halo 4 instead of its own multiplayer which id be ok with.

As a matter of fact, I don’t know. It really depends on what do I get from it. Being able to play Halo CE and 2 online they way they were originally meant to be played sounds nice, so, probably.

No it isn’t, it’s only in 640p. 
Halo 4:ODST Plus free DLC that includes 1/2/3 MM and its a deal.
I’m not even going to buy the new Xbox on release. I will be focusing on my Education and PC. When Halo 5 is announced, I shall look into it and see if it’s worth it and then I shall decide.
Can’t say with certainty. I’d likely hold off on the new system until all of the bugs are worked out, but I’m a sucker for new shiny objects, and an HD remake of Halo 2 sounds incredible!
Of course I would buy and why? because those are great games.
I don’t like the idea of a new XBox system, I think Microsoft should keep wrking on the 360 and 360 games, probably the only way I’ll buy the 720 is if you can transfer all your info/achievements from the 360 to the 720 and if there is ODST 2.
