As we all know, lack of split-screen in Halo 5 is a bit of a problem. But, if 343i released a split-screen paid DLC (not a monthly update) would you buy it? If yes, then how much would you be willing to spend?
If they released split-screen DLC, I would snap that up in an instant. I would also be willing to pay (at most) £25.
I can understand why some people want it but for me I have no use for it. so if it was JUST dlc for split screen, no I wouldn’t. now I would pay for premium dlc for maps, campaign add on, or another ODST.

OP, it’s not really that simple.
It’s due to the way they redesigned the engine this time around. Even without that, there are some pretty severe hardware limitations on the Xbox One that makes splitscreen hard to do. (unless you want Halo 3 graphics, at best)
H2A could hardly handle a stable framerate in splitscreen, (and this could get atrociously bad in Forge and Remnant) Halo 5 would crash and burn, especially while it’s still on DirectX11.
I really don’t think splitscreen is that big a deal. The lack of split screen has made matchmaking much better, you don’t have games with terrible connections where you’re playing against Gamertag, Gamertag(1,) Gamertag(2,) and (Gamertag(3.)
No we shouldn’t have to pay for a feature that was cut from the game and even 343 said themselves that it was not possible to even implement, if they added it they would be lying even more.

Split screen is generally a big deal for those that like to play Customs and campaign co-op with a bunch of friends and family.
I dont really care for splitscreen, and dont so would never pay for it. I also wouldn’t because there would probably be that much hate towards 343 that a lot of people stop playing, making the population dip even further.

Because it was really difficult restricting matchmaking to two split screen players

Somehow letting people play together locally in Campaign or unraked playlists would make the population LOWER?!
Some great logic there, indeed! Next week, tune in and look at how creating EU servers to lower ping would be too fair.

Have you not seen Battlefront? Heck im not really into CoD but Black Ops 3 can easly manage it. 343 had no excuse here and if its because they chose something that will struggle to run splitscreen then they’re idiots.
I know it isn’t going to happen in h5 but yes in a heartbeat. I’m always having buds over so I wish they could play with my nice mature clan. I like cod but the community of cod is mostly rude compared to what i have experienced in all the halos. Yes i played since original launch not just mcc

How does that make the connection worse? The host has to talk to three less Xboxes. That makes the connection better.
