I know it isn’t ideal buf I was thinking about it and I think I might. I choose every material, every pattern, every color for every slot, spend $5 and it’s set. No need to worry about buying color packs or pattern packs, just my own custom color scheme for just me.
And if I want a new one, I could do it again. Maybe if they came out with more options.
I don’t think I’d do it for $10. But I think I would do $5.
0.99 cents MAX for a single piece of customisation.
Better yet, make everything free and just include a ‘Donate’ button where people can give 343 as much money as the customer thinks they wish to donate.
a better alternative is warframe’s colour system. that way you charge for a pallet of colours that each have a distinct effect or theme.

Well okay, if its customized - I guess its worth more than a generic colour. So maybe 2.00$ at most. No colour should be worth more than 2$, otherwise we are entering MACRO-transaction territory. Like, you can buy some games for that much and they want 5$ for a colour?! Or 20 for armor?! How many people will buy it at 20? I would consider buying a set for 2$ but not 5$ let alone 20! They could get their money by volume (selling at lower price but to more people) and not by selling to a small niche.

I think OP means if there was a way to mix your own shader (You set the colour for everything) but you have to pay for it.

Right. You can change every color and pattern and material on every armor component (I’m guessing from what we’ve seen that material is either constant across the spartan or at least across an armor piece though), modify the pallet to look exactly how you want, maybe even name it (other spartans can look at your gear though so this would probably have limitations). Then when you lock it in, you can choose to color your spartan that way and keep it forever… for $5.

I just want to pick my own colour scheme as oppose to being forced to hope that 343i makes the intended combination for me & sells that to me.

Probably not, I’ll purchase a battle pass now and then but I refuse to pay for curated colours.

In fact, I’m not paying for anything. The most they are gonna get out of me is the $10 BP that will probably last me my entire time on this game with how slow it goes.
