We got GOW3 with Bulletstorm so Microsoft aren’t against the practice. The only other game MS are working close with that I’d imagine would fit Halos player demographic is their collaboration with Crytek called Ryse.
Not saying this is going to happen, but I’m asking would you be willing to purchase another game to play Halo 4 beta/demo ?
I would rather it be something we download from the market place. I hate how we have to buy a different game to play a beta about a different game. But I would still buy it for the beta/demo.

Yeah I would. I bought Crackdown for the Halo3 beta.
As it happened Crackdown wasn’t a bad game, but they could have put the beta pass in Hello Kitty Roller Rescue for all I’d have cared I’d have still bought it.

Well that’s not true.
Reach and Gears 3 both ran off of the disc from ODST and Bulletstorm, no code what so ever was required.

Nope. I bought ODST from blockbuster, played through it and played the beta, then sold it to gamestop.

That’s another issue I’ve been a little worried about, the thought of them making waypoint a paid seasonal VIP thing like they’ve done with MW3 and some of the EA sports franchises.

They won’t.
Activision & EA is behind that. MS won’t charge on top of Live, they most likely will do a Season Pass though.

Well i absolutely hate the thought of having a Waypoint as a paid service. I was thinking more about season pass. Having all the upcomig planned dlc wich i would buy anyway as i am a big halo fan. But if they make something like this, i hope it woudlnt end up like that MW3 crap, where they relase every month 1-2 maps.
Waypoint has a lot of great and free exclusive content (motion comics), it would be a big letdown if they´d decide to make us pay for it.
I hope they do it like the halo 3 beta were you could have bought crackdown or sign up and play halo 2 for 3 hours on like march the 3rd at 3 in the afternoon or something I can’t remember exactly.
Depends on the game, sure, but I’d say no anyway.
They seriously need to make it available for everyone (even if it may be hard to handle), at least for the gold members.
But even if they put it in an other game, we can still hope to grab the inevitable codes given everywhere anyway. I got into the Gears 3 Beta this way, actually.
