The precursors are not even hinted at in Halo 4 and just absent from the whole game?. I sure will be, they created such an amazing and mysterious species and if they’re gone from Halo 4 I’m going to question 343’s story telling.

OT:I agree, but the way things are looking it looks like they have left them out.
Now, are the precursors talked about a lot more in cryptum, primordium, silentium? I’m only about 50 pages into cryptum, but it seems like it’s mostly gonna be about forerunners.

A bit more in Primordium. But just a bit.
They play a huge part in both novels, and if they have no link to Halo 4 at all, I will be disapointed, the Primordial makes such a interesting villain and concept in general :(.
I would hope they push the story to the point that the Ancient Evil is indeed either influenced by the actions of the Precursors or is one in some twist of a way, otherwise I feel the story is going to be to simple.

Oh god, I don’t think we could take it again, it was nice the first time around but…
In all honesty, I doubt they’ll make any kind of appearance or have any reference from characters either.
I do however think that there will be some kind of small plot point that we won’t notice until later on in the trilogy.
So no, I don’t expect to see or hear anything from them in Halo 4. Halo 5, definitely, Halo 6…100% certain.
I am curious if they will be another enemy group brought in or more added, I am just not sure how I feel about fighting Prometheans the whole game at this point without something else that hasnt been shown in any form being thrown in :(.

I don’t think they’ll pull a CE with precursors, because if the primordial is any indication, they’re to big and to powerfull to destroy singlehandedly.
The reclamation has just began. the makers would make their appearance soon. if they arent in this game you can imagine that they would def bee in one of other many halo games that is going to be made.

Well, what if the other Spartan II’s make an appearance and Humanity also teams up with the Forerunners to stop the greatest threat? It are all just theories, we’ll find out in just over 2 weeks and when Silentium releases.
i doubt they will be. the are never the less interesting but just provide a bit of back story on how some races got here…I would however expect to learn more about them in Silentium. halo 4 seems to have enough story going on fo r8 missions…

Silentium isn’t releasing until March 2013 :*(. they pushed it back.
Earliest Halo 5… 6 may be more realistic though to end this new trilogy.
I would be happy if they weren’t in it. This is a trilogy dedicated to the Forerunners. It’s the Reclaimer trilogy, a Forerunner term. Save Precursors for a…Preclaimer trilogy, or at least Halo 6. I’m not saying a don’t want Precursors, just not in a game where the spotlight is on the Forerunners.
I’d be pretty bummed, I’ll say that. I’ve always wanted to learn more about the Precursors.
