Gun smith. I liked it in Crysis 2 and they are going to have it in Ghost Recon. This could be cool. Except if halo was going to use it it would probably have to be the ghost recon version so you can customize your trigger and other stuff. 343i would have to take away red dot sights, iron sights, and AOG scopes. What do you guys think??
No. When his DMR is better than mine, I draw the line.
Really looking forward to Halo 4 and the changes they are making but when start customizing weapons the level playing will be gone. too much of it other games i just want a gun and shoot dont want to worry about should i have grips because it will give me steadier shot or extra lungs so can hold breath for longer when sniping its OTT should be you can use the gun or you cant.
No, that’s a bad idea. A Battle Rifle is a Battle Rifle. The way it shoots, how much damage it does and how much ammo you have should always be the same. If the enemy has a DMR and I have a DMR, our guns should be exactly the same.

I am saying like change your handle of your gun or something like that it doesn’t effect gameplay
As a purely cosmetic feature, then sure, that’d be a fun little thing to tinker with…
…But the thought of going into a whole other realm and not only delving into fully Customizable Loadouts, but to go and add in fully Customizable Weapons too…no, sorry, bad idea, I’m fine with tailoring to your play-style by starting off with your own Middle Tier Weapon, but not tailoring the damn gun itself to further the differentiation between you and the next guy…

What’s the point in that though? The character is holding the gun by the grip.
I don’t think aesthetic customisation is a good idea either. When you pick up a Battle Rifle for example, you instantly know what it is and how it works just by looking at it. There is no point in having customisable guns in Halo.

In real life there is customizable guns so why shouldn’t Halo??

Halo isn’t real life.

Halo is sci-fi not real life.

I tend to agree with this. I do want weapon variety but I neither have the time nor the skill to manage such details. I also think balancing issues would arise.

You don’t change firearms for aesthetic in real life.

If it was completely cosmetic. I don’t see the harm in having a nicer looking gun then my enemy.
I know Halo isn’t real life but in real life you can do that it doesn’t make sense that UNSC wouldn’t have scopes or iron sights. I am not saying I want that but still
only small detail’s should be customisable, like the colour of some of the weapon.

Scopes and iron sights are pretty moot, considering each marine has a heads-up display that can predict where each shot will land.
Keep your real life away from my Halo. Stop turning my arena shooter into a tacticool one.

“I am not saying I want this” < DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS?! Why wouldn’t UNSC want their marines to kill the enemy with better accuracy again I am not saying I want this
