I’m not sure why i thought of this but… With all these new future weapons, what if there was one that took on the shape of a Bow? (not a crossbow) This is not a good or bad idea… but an INTERESTING one.
I was trying to break out of the known weapon types for halo.
People would instantly compare it to Crysis 3.
I made the same exact thread about this some while ago when Crysis 3 was announced most of the Halo Community disagree with me.
Edit: In my own thread I thought it was a cool idea to bring some new fresh weapons into Halo 4 something along the lines of a CrossBow/Bow type, Games like Skyrim, Gears of War, And Black Ops implement this type of weapon and it became fairly balance. Not saying we totally need it, but it would be neat.
I think it’s a cool idea. 
It being Forruner, is a good way to make it on par with guns.
ehhh… sounds weird. I’d rather not have a bow…
Depends on how it worked and what it looked like. Overall though, I’m for the idea.

Why just only Crysis 3? Gears of War had this idea for a while as well as Black Ops having the Crossbow.
I would literally face palm with enough force kill myself.
In all seriousness though, I don’t think it would make any sense.

He has armour with abilities in Crysis 3, also never used to have bows like Halo didn’t, so people would compare.
why would futuristic space aliens need a bow?
Bows are fun, at least in Gears they’re a great weapon that requires a little more skill then teh usual “blast and forget” rocket launcher 
Although I’m not sure Halo needs one, many other games have chosen to add them (CoD, Gears, Crysis to name some) because they are so different from the standard issue weapons you’ve got. Depending on how it is, it might be a good addition, or not.

Why would futuristic space aliens need swords or over-sized clubs?
why are people saying other people would compare it to crysis 3 cos i could take its atleast a decade before C3 and say “turok: dinosaur hunter”
Just imagine a Bows only games, and how nice it would look on your back!

It’d be an awesome tie in to the Rambo series. Think about it, MC’s real name is John, but we don’t know his last name. In Halo 4 we find out his full name is John Rambo. 343 can tell us that Rambo went into cryo sleep after the 4th movie and was re-awoken in the 2500s to battle the Covenant, Flood, and whatever the new foes will be. He’ll remember his true identity once he picks up his bow and gets his first kill with it. 
A forerunner type “sniper” weapon shaped like a bow would be really epic.
Interesting and fun weapons are exactly the kind of things Halo should add from game to game. That is the kind of change that is GOOD.
Though I don’t know how well a bow type weapon would work for Halo. The grenade launcher and focus rifle are great examples of good weapon additions in Halo.

If nothing else, it could be kept to custom games.
