Hey guys, would you agree on this statement:
Halo 5 is a solid and amazing game on its own, but not as a Halo game.
Just curious to know.
Ehhh… to an extent, maybe. I wouldn’t say it’s completely solid due to the glitching and crashing, nor would I say it’s amazing. I’d say it’s a pretty good game on its own, but for a Halo game, it’s not quite up to par.

Yes that’s what I’ve been saying side launch. As a stand alone game it’s great, as a halo game it’s trash.
I disagree with the statement, but a lot of people wouldn’t. It all hangs on how you define what makes a Halo game Halo. Some people say it only applies to a Bungie title. I say if it says “Halo” on the cover then its Halo. I don’t need all of them to play the exact same way or look the exact same way or have all the exact same features. I know that change can often be change for the worse, but if you have no change at all then you’re also throwing out any possibility of the change for the better. And anybody who thinks Halo didn’t need to change after Halo 3 because it was already perfect… well, everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but my opinion of that opinion would be that it came from somebody who is insane.
I personally love Halo 5 the way it is, and I’ll be honest, I enjoy it more than the older Halos.
Most of what I think of when I think of a halo game isn’t in this game.
What I think of when I think of halo; play as a super soldier who has energy shields, mix of alien and human weapons and maps, equal starts and equal opportunities, game types that I think are unique to halo, and various armour abilities to choose from.
I’m too tired to go into what is and isn’t missing right now but I could go more in depth but halo 5 reminds me of crisis 3. I feel like I’m playing crisis with a halo skin. I think as well not a lot of people liked to use the thrusters cause they liked to use a different ability. So how they play halo wasn’t taking into consideration.
I’d give it a 7.8/10 for being something new. I agree with your statement though.

You know I wanted to say it since day 1 but thought it would be bad cause games borrow stuff from other games all the time but it does make halo less like halo.
At launch I would have given it a 8/10. Now it is either a 8.5-9/10. If the story of the campaign was great as it was shown off to be and a some slight improvements to campaign (better companion AI and less Wardens) then it would be a 10/10 for me.

I would say it is good Halo game for the most part, just missing some necessary content.
Is Halo 5 a good halo? IMO it is.
Is it flawless? Definitely not.
It seems Halo to me.
Broken and glitching contents, not sure if this game is an amazing game by its own or as a Halo game.
