Do you think These guys would work in a Halo FPS?
Both lore, and AI wise
In a possible future war against the Flood? Absolutely.
In a level like gravemind where you have to burn the spores, sure.
Yeah they’d be kind cool to see on a flood level.
It’d be kinda like the ‘bullfrogs’ from Reach, but flamethrower guys.
Yes, yes, yes! Hope the Flamethrower and Grenade Launcher makes a return in Halo 5, I miss both of them.
Hellbringers – they are just so badass. Looking at where the Halo franchise is heading, Halo 5 is supposed to be a “darker” Halo. I hope this means stronger and cooler enemies, and Hellbringers could prove to be very effective means against them.

i can see it now
in Halo 5, the Chief walks through a Door, and finds a Jet of Flame burst out, followed by a few Infected Flood forms, and then following a Hellbringer supported by two Marines

I’d love that. You don’t know how happy I would be to see the Flamethrower make a return and Hellbringers be added into a Halo title.
The one fear I have with them, is they’d unfortunately accidentally kill the player on occasion, which would sour people’s opinion of them.
I mean, you have to be pretty careful in halo 3 not to kill your fellow co-op players with it, and you can coordinate with them unlike AI.

make it so allied fire can’t hurt you unless you’ve branded a traitor?

Or at least the Flamethrower.
Yes they would work.
Marine AI should go through a complete overhaul, if they did that I would love to see these guys working along all the different marine types in a realistic and immersive way. In other words make them completely different to all allied AI in all of Halo’s history.
