Would u respect 343 for possibly bringing back someone like forge in halo wars 2? Or would u be even more bothered by them?

Oh well ensemble had two different plans originally. One of them he survived by a teleporter and the other he died. That’s why his death was off scene so in the dlc campaign they could confirm what happened to him.
But as we all know ensemble was shut down before the campaign could be continued.

He’s dead, as at the end of Halo Wars 1, Forge was not in the Cryo-chamber.

I’m not dumb I know that his escape was after that in the dlc campaign that never came out. Anders had a program that would open her cryo pod after everyone else was frozen then she picked up forges distress call and went and picked him up.

There was 2 different dlc campaign scripts that were released by the developer a few years after halo wars 1. They released it because they never thought there would be a second game so they wanted people to know what could have been.
Like I previously stated in one of them forge returns and the other he does not.

Yeah i know, but since he is currently confirmed dead, he is dead, unless shown to us through Halo Wars 2 Story/other media that he is alive.
I would be mildly bothered. I hate it when they bring back dead characters because it really kills the sense of stakes and sacrifice.
If no one dies, then at the end it would be as shallow and void as the Marvel movies.

It wouldn’t bother me as much as a Johnson or noble 6 resurrection because u don’t see forge die,it’s just assumed (even though I know he is)

Yeah but it’s a risk that could pay off as opposed to a risk like bringing back Cortana for no reason which is almost universally hated

Come on guys Forge is awesome…its not that he comes that’s the issue it’s our he’s used that will be important. Would be great.
I think the halo fans out there can all agree that 343 completely botched the story of Halo 5. As the Cortana we got was not the one we loved or wanted…even if this was on propose it fell flat on its face. Which is sad as the story set up in 4 was masterful.
Well as the universe is concerned all of the spirit of fire is assumed dead because they have not had contact with anyone for decades. There is no eye witness account of forges death so he could have survived like what was planned in one of the expansions.
343 has a tendency to say people is dead just to shut people down like with Cortana. I as a person don’t think forge is coming back but it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Also The Cortana in halo 5 is not really Cortana it’s a small split personality of hers. That’s why she is so different she is not complete a fragment like the AI’s from rvb. I think it would be smart of them in halo 6 to give her a title seperating her from the Alpha Cortana.

It’s not the full Cortana she split to same Master Chief on the light bridge in the fight against the didact it’s only one small part of her.
