Would this work for MM?

When squad was removed many players were upset and rightfully so, many playlist did not have the population squad did, so for me it did not make sense to remove it. Squad was the home to many highly skilled competitive player as is the newly formed ZB slayer playlist, so I was thinking that these two similar groups might get along (maybe LOL).

Here is my idea, the ZB TU slayer playlist is converted to a ZB squad playlist and since it is very apparent most that frequented the recently expunged squad playlist did not care for AL, remove that AA and perhaps even JP.

It could be a much more healthy playlist then the current one and would give a new home to the unfortunately recently homeless squad guys. I play neither and am not interested in playing in the future, but this feels like a change up that could make sense.

But I would need the opinion of those that played squad and those that currently play ZB slayer to make a more informed opinion, what do you think?

EDIT: As suggested by NOOBERT, perhaps a increased default run speed and jump height as well. This is something competitive players have been asking for, for a long time.

I think it’s weird how people who aren’t in favour of the TU or the DMR being the only usable weapon aren’t restricting the game to their playstyle for all gamers yet those in favour of the TU and the DMR being the only usable weapon aren’t in favour of any other kind of playstyle or playlist.

Consolidation is key. I would rather merge ZB with The Arena and make Objective into Squad Battle after removing Super Slayer and applying the TU to Team Slayer. ZB is its own beast so the necessary gameplay adjustments should be made which would yield more competitive results worthy of The Arena name.

I try not to worry about it too much, I think it is part of the ultra-competitive mindset to believe that their preference is the absolute end all, be all best settings. I try and keep the bigger picture in mind when considering any addition or change to Reach, its a gift =)

No, that’s what I’m like! Suggesting ideas for gametypes they’re not going to play and letting them have their MLG gametypes. Despite the fact that I don’t like MLG, I’ve never said they couldn’t have their playlist.

Besides, I believe there are other ways to be competitive then what’s normally associated with MLG. But the majority of people don’t want to at least experiment and look into this.

That was the most annoying thing about the TU voting period. A lot of “pro” players went into it just to vote for TU for a playlist they admitted they won’t be going back into after the process.

ZB is not fun with default movement speed. The playlist would be better off without jetpack.

Skys the limit brother, increased movement speed it is and while we are at it how about an increase in default jump height?

No angle partner, just a way to have a populated playlist that caters to a particular portion of the community.

If the jump height is still super low that would be my only change. That and ZB.

I wonder if there is a compromise between 0 and 85% that would work for both?

I like this idea. Objective does need to have more players per team and I thought I was the only player that found this a problem. I guess I’m not alone.

Squad was good, but I don’t know if it was ‘competitive’. I consider myself a good player, not a great one. On my first game of squad slayer I got a perfection, on my second I got another running riot. I’ve been able to knock my kd quite high with squad slayer as opposed to team slayer.

I’d like that bleedthrough was re-added specifically for ZB, especially if melee was toned down to 75%.

Perhaps, but we can’t control that. However, it would be a small margin since we have to take into account bloom resetting between DMR shots, which wasn’t done with the NR. Didn’t 343 say they would give a variety of Bloom options rather than just two in the beta?
