I’m curious to know your opinions regarding if 343 were to emphasize more on the clan community of halo, as Bungie did in halo 2. I’ve noticed a huge drop in clan activity of all kinds upon moving to Halo 4, which is unfortunate because I see so much room for potential. What do you guys think? Would this affect halo 4’s population, both competitive and noncompetitive? If so, explain your reasoning.
“Any game that once had support for clans was blessed with amazing replay value. This replay value comes from the fictional systems that clan leaders set in place for their members; systems like progressive ranking structures, competitive clan battles, custom maps and gametypes, raids, and an immersion of the game’s lore and canon. All of these things extended your interest in the game; even if you have one hundred percent game completion. These systems add a whole new layer to your experience.
I don’t think Halo 4 will recover from 343i’s decision to cut support for communities. Gaming communities are what give games their populations and their market value. Hopefully 343i will resolve this issue in their next installment of Halo.”

Amen!
I always thought that since Halo 4 was entirely under the “Infinity” theme and War Games is now supposed to be considered “canon”, perhaps we could have had Fireteam support!
Know how Fireteam Majestic has 5 members, with a special emblem, full armour sets, colours, and each of them using different weapons? I think it would be pretty cool to see “Infinity Fireteam” support like this where the system would be similar to the Halo 2 system and replicate the Halo 4 lore for the Fireteams.
Maybe. But they can’t do clan matches like they did in Halo 2, as that has failed in the long run since higher level clans kept resetting ranks and making the clan playlists not fun for lower level ones.
Maybe they could just make a clan and just focus on wins and losses based on a CSR bracket or something in the regular playlists Like 1-10,11-20,etc., and would help show off their skill without letting players have the ability to implode the playlist by handing them a trueskill rank reset button.
I could care less about clans. They’re usually really rude people who think they are better than everyone, or they’re all KSI clans, or both.

That’s only the case with Try-Hard MLG Clans.
There are a great deal of Clans that are just friends banding together to play Halo and enjoy it. That’s what I look for in a clan.
