We’ve had plenty back and forth about controller + aim assist being too strong in Halo Infinite, and that a nerf would upset the entire player base. So now that the player population has declined so hard, I would like to revisit the thought of reducing aim assist and leveling the playing field between inputs. There are hundreds of thousands of folks who won’t touch this game until they can play on the input of their choice.
Ok , I use controller from about 20 years and they want 343 to nerf aim assist. Why I don’t see anyone with controller to ask 343 to nerf keyboard/mouse op movement? Or they are okay with 360 turns in one movement or one button combos??? Any one who is complaining just need to try some fast turns with controller sticks and then come here to complain!
Unfortunately we ( controller players) have only one advantage against kb/m players and that is aim assist!
Only fear solution is 343 to allow us to choose what we prefer - only controller/ only kb/m or cross.
OP MnK movement? There is nothing OP about MnK movement in this game. That’s why there are NO MNK PLAYERS LEFT IN THIS GAME.
How about input based matchmaking or a crossplay toggle? Seems easy enough.
Not only that, but I can’t get the slide tech to work consistently on keyboard. I execute the super slides perfectly every time with controller. I get they are technically a glitch, but it’s annoying that I can’t super slide with keyboard.
To be honest, the solution to this problem is the same as it’s always been; allow players to specify input based matchmaking.
The fact that this basic feature hasnt been implemented by now is just asinine. MnK players and controller players shouldnt be fighting one another over nerfs that no one really wants.
Everyone should continue to demand more agency in their matchmaking preferences…and that’s not limited to just opting out of crossplay. It includes things like being able to select your region for matchmaking as well as more specifity in MP playlists.
What about the 100k+ or so xbox game pass and console players? Are you forgetting about them again?
They could… It didn’t really help much for the MCC crowd though, as they’ve had several topics complaining about the slow matchmaking times when looking for kbm only matches. It got to the point that they wanted to force kbm users who didn’t care who they were paired up with forced into kbm only servers first so they’d get more people to play with.
