Halo 3 introduced social playlist ranks where you got +1 for winning, 0 for losing and -1 for quitting. If I remember correctly it would take 2,000 wins in a playlist to reach max social rank (5* general) and anyone could reach it regardless of skill level by just playing and picking up wins here and there. Every playlist had a separate rank.
They could have a weekly double exp where one playlist is worth double for wins that week.
I know people want some additional form of progression. Never really care about progression in games as usually it doesn’t make me want to play any differently although I’d be interested in trying to improve my social rank on a bunch of different playlists. Would definitely be a long term goal for me to win 2,000 games of Big Team.
If you hate the idea of wins then just have a score based rank instead, but I prefer one that encourages winning myself.
