Would new controller schemes be alright?

I am used to the Halo 5 Guardians Beta default controller scheme. Am I the only one who wants it added to the Master Chief Collection after its fixed? It could be called ‘Universal Guardian’

I also liked Reach’s controls, they could add it later and call it ‘Universal Reacher’ or something. Thoughts? If they were added would you use them?

I really have grown used to the Halo 5 control scheme, and I think it’d really fit in in with TMCC.

Universal zoom & shoot is close. Or fishstick on H4.

Yeah, but it isn’t the same. Halo 5’s scheme just fits perfectly, although fish tick is still a good scheme, it isnt ideal.

I am usually a default control guy for the halo games but that was when i mainly just played halo, now i jump around often between shooters and every one of them uses the left trigger for zoom so the universal zoom & shoot is about as close as you can get to the same controls of other games. I just wish crouch and melee were either swapped or swappable, it is virtually impossible to crouch around and still be able to aim and shoot with the zoom & shoot scheme or even crouch jump up to higher areas due to crouch being on b.

I too would love for preset control schemes to die and just let us bind what we want to what buttons we want or at the very least the ability to do this on top of presets. This is one of those things i love most about pc gaming, most game support binding things to whatever you want so you are never forced to deal with whatever controls a game uses. The ability to have all games from the same genre using the same controls for the same functions is by far one of the best things about gaming on pc and would be doable on console is devs would stop using the ancient locked control schemes with only a couple nearly identical presets or presets that are so close to being perfect but have 1 thing that just completely kills the entire preset.

Being able to mount the walls changes the gameplay perspective too…
