Would it be wrong if I quit...

A warzone game where my team is getting farmed, destroyed and there are about 2 tanks, one phaeton helios and 2 banshees in the sky, and maybe 2 snipers? And of course, If I’m not having a good time? Is it really wrong?

Ban rule wise:Yes.
Morale wise, you need to decide for yourself, just keep in mind that the bansystem will apply,so if you do it to often dont be surprised that you will be banned.

Quit all you want just keep in mind that you will always be hurting your team and the Ban Hammer will be waiting for you.

I’d say mostly no. It’s a pointless game if your team can’t do anything so your quitting isn’t going to change that, but at the same time you’re potentially putting someone else in that situation if JIP is still active.

My advice if you don’t quit would be to stay in the respawn screen until the game respawns for you and try to stay in the base and kill people from there.

I feel like if your not going to have fun, might as well. Let’s be honest here, who likes getting constantly killed? No one. It’s not fun. Might as well play a other match…
playlist… Something. Maybe even a other game… Or go outside or something

I don’t like quiting and rarely do. Mainly only ever do if others do as I refuse to be a teams punching bag for 5-10mins. I know not everyone quits. Disconnects happen a lot. Heck I had two today… Fun times let me tell you (no it’s not my end, I know this for certain)

So yes, I think there are times where quiting is 100% justified.

Some times I wish people would learn to quit. When you’re playing swat and have 4 kills and 15 deaths… just -Yoinking!- quit so your team stands a chance at winning. Also probably shouldn’t make your spartan id say SKIL when you’re doing 4/15.

I generally don’t quit no matter what’s going on, because I don’t want to lose the xp and req points from the game.

Put on a BR or DMR with a medium-long range scope, and chill in your home base. Just kill the guys who try and run in, and you at least won’t just die trying to leave over and over.

I’ve had this happen to me more than I can remember, but in some matches my team managed to turn the whole game around, typically starting with recapturing a base. I know that sounds obvious, but it’s amazing how easily the other team gets distracted with farming and forgets to guard their base. Just call in a Warthog, capture a base, and hope it goes smoothly from there.

People have bad games every once in awhile due to lots of reasons or maybe they are just bad. Who knows but there is not much you can do about it but try to let it go.

As for quitting, it all depends on your value system and the variables of the game; how much time is left, do I have any teammates still playing, can I accomplish any team, spartan company or personal goals by staying for example.

I don’t get why some ask this… They act as if one or even two quits gets them banned. Yes I have quit games. No I have never been banned since I finish more than enough games between them for them not warrant a ban.

No, you have rights to quit matches (If you don’t care about the ban system…And the negative messages on Xbox :P)

I’m pretty sure I’ll trigger some people for what I said, I’ll wait for the comments

Of course it’s not “wrong”. You want to have fun playing a game, I don’t think anyone should put you down for that.

It’s not wrong but it can be fun to spam plasma pistols!

I usually try to stay without quitting across all games and not just Halo.

I will quit If I get teabagged even though I am the only person left on the team.

Yea. I mean people would understand but it’s still wrong. You may of bought the game but so did everybody else and you leaving adds more of people ruining there fun. Personally idc I think it’s just a game thing and it always will be

Take that massacre like a man. I’m sure there’s no person who’s played this game for an extended amount of time that hasn’t experienced what it’s like to do the farming or be part of a team that does it (whether you take part or not). So just remember, your time is coming when you can be the harbinger of doom, the bringer of despair.

Spartan John Cena would say never give up.

You can’t quit. Don’t ever quit. If you do the sky will open up and you will be swallowed whole. The remaining members of your team will be so traumatized that they will need counseling, and probably medication. 343 will have their feelings hurt, and the general decay in the state of gaming will speed up to the point where your xbox may explode. Do you really want that on your shoulders?

Seriously, it’s a fine line between doing the “honorable” thing and doing the “right” thing. Why, as someone much smarter than me once said, is the right so often the implacable enemy of the good?

Well if i was in your position i wouldn’t blame you if you quit and if I’m being honest I’d probably quit too. Matchs like the one you described are just an effort to sit through and by the end of it if you stayed you really lose all incentive to play another at least in my opinion.

Yeah that happened to me as well and we ended capture all three bases and I saw the opportunity to kill bosses with a banshee to increase my req level. In the end I destroyed their core with Upgraded shields, a overshield, speed boost and an enemy who died with a Tarturus Gavel near the base and ran to destroy their core instead of letting them win as they were 940 and we were 754. It felt good beating farmers so I’m telling OP try capturing the farthest base but if you can’t, wait till the enemy captures all three bases and hide further from the battle and then go for the capture to give your team to push the tide of battle.
