Back when I as alot younger and didn’t readily have access to the internet I use to love getting strategy guides as not only did they give you tips and walk throughs they also had alot of in detail info and lore.
I was thinking about picking one up but I’m not sure if it will meet those similar expectations. Are the guides literally just walkthrough’s you can find on the inter webs
The collectors edition guide is only around £20/$20 and it’s pretty in depth but also comes with artwork and other stuff, it’s mainly a collectors thing really I guess but I’d recommend this one (the collectors edition anyway)

thank you, this si exactly what i wanted to hear. Will grab one as soon as I can
I highly recommend it. It has lots of nice information and pictures in it.
I have several Halo strategy guides, and this one is a particularly good one in my opinion. As someone who does not have much experience with RTS games, this guide has a lot of useful information in it for both beginner and veteran RTS players.
I also like all the campaign walkthroughs, multiplayer content, and extra information included in it. I find it quite nice personally.

just out of curiosity, why would I not buy it if I’m interested in death match info. Does it noe have any
Problem with RTS strategy guides, or really any multiplayer focused guide, is that they will change units stats/abilities to balance the game. Will help right now, but six months or a year from now it will be useless.

I bought the strategy guide more so as a collector but with the extra benefit of gaining knowledge for the game. In my opinion, ll Blaky ll and StUnNeR H2K are partly correct but not completely.
At ll Blaky ll, There is a decent amount of information that is quite valuable to know for the Deathmatch gamemode. They give you all the amounts of time it takes to construct bases and buildings. It also shows how much time it takes to research an upgrade for all the upgrades. The guide tells you how much resources you obtain per supply pad or generator (with the upgrade values as well). There is some merit to the guide, but I understand where you are coming from. It always seems like someone could have done something better, but overall, it is a well developed guide. I was hoping it would give me the HP and DPS values. It also didn’t tell me how much resources you get from the supplies and power scattered around the map and the power nodes (I figured out the rough values of both from a custom match).
At StUnNeR H2K, Good point and a very true statement, BUT in this specific case, I think it is advantageous to grab the guide because there are no resources for this information. When 6 or 12 months have passed, I hope and expect 343I to help contribute towards resources providing us this information. As of right now, we do not have those luxuries. I plan on making a word document and excel spreadsheet to retain this information and update it whenever patch notes are released. Once 343I or a software developer provides this information, people can then simply go to that website to obtain the up-to-date information.
It is a good strategy guide, but it could have been slightly more detailed. Overall, I am not disappointed with the guide, and I would recommend it to any collector or completionist.
