Would anyone deny a prequel to halo

I’m talking the original human/forerunner war! What is everyone’s thoughts about this?

No but I’d still rather have a prequel game with an entirely covenant focus, maybe battling the flood or some other foes. Really mix up the gameplay.

Lets do it!

I’d love another prequel, get me away from fighting these bland promethians

Well due to the Didact we have to face these shadows of humanity/forerunners BUT I still believe a human/forerunner war prequel game would be hot cakes… It would be amazing to see what the Halo verse depicted humans as in their era of supreme beings!!! I would kill to see that in gameplay… Their cities, their tech and their initial run in with the flood that made them confront the forerunners!!!

I agree but I’d Definetly would like to see a fresh look for humans and forerunners. It would obviously be before Spartans existed so I wonder what it would look like.

What would our weapons be? How could it be made interesting? What do the humans have to try and fight back the flood outbreak?

It’d be nice to play on a home planet setting again and see how it all started, but could it be done in one game?

I would love to see a futuristic look to the universe but still look like an out of date setting where you can tell how far the halo universe has come from then to halo 5.

Kind of like what bungie did in halo reach. All of the weapons and armor felt older and out of date compared to what we previously had. It gave it an amazing feeling to the game itself imo.

But if we went back to the original human/forerunner war those humans were far more advanced than the humans of the current halo universe… I’m pretty sure, correct me if i’m wrong, that humans were de-evolutionized by the didact… So wouldn’t it be a more higher evolutionized setting?

I would like to see some of the books made into games, or movies at the very least. There are some dang good books in the Halo series.

The ancient humans were far more superior then the current generation in halo so yes. I don’t know if anyone has seen the animated movie of Halo Legends but it goes into a little detail of the ancient humans and the forunners back then. The flood are also mentioned and so is the race(I forgot who they’re called) that mutated into the flood.

You also see bits of the old story via terminal videos.

There is loads of potential for pew prequels…
Ancient human -flood war
Ancient human - forerunner war
Forerunner-flood war
Elite-sanshyuum war
Human ‘civil war’ based around the insurrectionists

Considering each war was probably just as long or even longer than the human-covenant war which got us halo reach, wars, 1, 2, odst, 3 and arguably 4 and 5 if the covenant remnant count.

I think in some point we will get an Ancient Halo Saga. I wish our new main character were Bornstellar as we see recreated the Forerunner - Human - Flood wars.

I would love to see a game based from the perspective of a ancient human solider having to suffer the pressure of fighting both the flood and forerunners simultaneously. This could prove to be a very interesting, militaristic game with huge emphasis on emotion and squadron teamwork. There could be Terminals explain the events of the forerunner saga and it’d be great!

or we could be unoriginal and base it around an important character from the forerunner saga.

Star Wars has taught us to never do prequels.

There’s so much potential in this idea.

I think it would be epic. The scale would be so much bigger, tech more advanced and a story that would tie in so neatly as all the background work is in place.

I hope that if they did so this, they wouldn’t try to overcomplicate the plot of the saga. Halo 5 seems like it is setting up a really big plot for halo 6 which could spiral out of control. I mean man vs AI (machine). This could turn into a really long and potentially tedious story line, just look at terminator. If this is not the case, then 343 have made an irrelevant game which lacked story on its own.

I think I’d prefer an episodic style saga where each campaign was it’s own story like reach. Maybe like the original trilogy where each story has its own plot with a thin overarching story. Let’s face it, we know the overarching story already.

Bring on the prequel saga!
