Would a UK copy of Halo 4 work on a US system

So hypothetically If I acquired a copy of Halo 4 for the UK would it work on a US console?
When the game ships of course.

Nope, we (Europe) use Pal and in the U.S. they use the NTCS system. both console and games are programmed differently.

as far as i can tell Microsoft has always had Region Free games, (not xbox’s… GAMES, the ones they publish)

so you should be safe no matter which way the equation goes

100% correct, PAL and NTSC do NOT work on each others consoles,

Region free will though, I use the Playasia guide for region free games, I have bought a few and the guide has been spot on,

Unfortunately, no. Europe uses PAL whilst the US something else (NTCS I think?)

Just checked the site I posted a link to and the answer is no, it looks like Halo 4 is region locked.
