Would a halo game work well on a nintendo platform

so halo has been declining in popularity over the last few years, its a fact, alike Nintendo who are pretty much living in the past relying on name recognition to sell products. But that aside I think halo would work well on ninteneo, obviously scaling down graphics to 720p and maybe like 50fps (the human brain cant tell the difference between 720 and 1080 on a screen smaller than like 42", its been proven) and Nintendo isn’t exactly direct competition to Microsoft are they? Seeing has h5 will be a T this could help to bring in more fans of the age group the age rating was designated for, and maybe sway them towards buying an xbox, I think they might be able to do it with say halo wars 2 on the wii u (scaled down past 720 and 60fps) or maybe even codename NX…

just quick thoughts, wondered what you guys thought of it.

well you’re very constructive.

Knowing Microsoft, I can’t see them releasing Halo on anything other than Xbox or PC. But I wouldn’t mind playing Halo on the Wii U if it had controls like Metroid Prime.

Depends on what kind of game. Halo Wars and Spartan Assault/Strike show some different kinds of control and genre setups, so I could see them releasing something on the 3DS if they ever branched out to other platforms.

I’d love to be able to take Halo with me everywhere like that though…
Not be bound to needing to be in my room like with the PC and the Xbox… Monster Hunter 4 doesn’t even look that bad on the smaller screen (Something I was worried about when moving from MH3 to MH4. Najarala is <3), so I don’t think that the graphical quality would be all that bad either. It’d just need a good story and setting, pick the genre to follow, and then have acceptable controls to use. It’d be fine I think.

What? No, have you played the games on the Wii U look at those games then look at Xbox games then back to Nintendo games. At most we would get Halo CE but guess what that will never happen because Halo is the face of Microsoft, like how Mario is to Nintendo.

Seems a bit harsh, especially seeing them dominate the handheld market. Nintendo isn’t relying on name recognition, Nintendo has many well established franchises that sell well, because fans love their products. Even the new ones like Splatoon and Monster hunter (I know it’s not a Nintendo first party, but it is being sold exclusively on Nintendo products now, which many fans have welcomed including me).

Considering most products on Nintendo platforms are not PvP centric I don’t think Halo would do so well. Also why would they downgrade the hardware from the Xbox One to the Wii U? We would probably get half the campaign and less launch maps. Nintendo produces a console, so does Microsoft which means they are in directly in competiton.

Halo’s rating has nothing to do with changing it’s platform. It’s violence hasn’t changed in comparison to previous titles. The only thing that really kept Halo games rated M was the flood, and seeing they are gone (for now at least) Halo still seems like Halo. Everywhere else Halo’s rating has remained the same, which implies the ESRB is probably changing their guidelines as opposed to Halo toning it’s violence down. Also I don’t see how playing Halo 5 on the Wii U would away anyone to purchasing it on the Xbox One. Playing Call of Duty on one console doesn’t encourage players to buy other consoles in order to play the same game.

Halo is a Microsoft product. The closest Halo has been to being a on Nintendo platform was Halo DS, but that was scrapped and we probably won’t be seeing anything like it again.
