I like FFA but hate the randomness factor when trying to have a legit 1v1 and being shot from everywhere. I want to be able to test my skill against another player without outside intervention, and this seems like the most reasonable option.
What are your thoughts?
there is no real reason for it, the maps are big enough were those games would end up just being players running in circles. It be boring in all real honesty

They don’t have a custom? Invite and play with some friends. Did that with some friends on previous titles to test out forge maps.
There was a 1v1 playlist in halo 3 way before the ODST version of the game with all maps and the ability to get the “rare” recon armour it played horribly, granted it was decent but the rules and maps and were just silly. If you wanna do 1v1s constantly honestly head over to game battles sign up and head over to the 1v1 ladder and start looking for matches.
of course its possible. but seeing that we dont even have a permanent doubles playlist id say its a really low priority.
there are lots of ways to find players to play 1v1 in custom games, as OMGizmo mentioned above. i dont think there is a need for a 1v1 playlist, although i might play it sometimes.
