Worth the play through?

So this is the only halo game I haven’t played. (With the exception of the iOS games and halo wars) so considering it’s backwards compatible, I just purchased a copy still brand new wrapped in plastic. Haven’t opened it yet. So that leads me to the question open it and play it, or keep it sealed forever and ever and ever.

Yes man, the campaign is incredible

Well here goes nothing. Its probably not worth anything still sealed anyways. Just needed the convincing.

If you are willing to play the base game without DLC or play the base game with the Anniversary DLC, it’s cool. The base game has a lot to offer and is fun. From a fun (yet challenging on higher difficulties) campaign, daily and weekly challenges, diversified matchmaking, forge world, and many other fun elements, it is worth it.

The Anniversary DLC will add in more fun, and is the most popular DLC among all the Reach DLC. A couple of new maps, and a fun firefight map where you are more likely to find more professional firefight players (Not a bunch of people spamming everything with a fuel rod).

Now if you are an achievement hunter, it will be extremely difficult to get the DLC achievements unless you can find a gamenight where all players have said DLC. If you knock that out of the equation, prepare to have fun  .

Achievements aren’t really important to me, so I’m full steam ahead. Currently its installing before I have to go to dinner. Hope I get a chance to play before than. Will I be able to download Dlc on my XB1 though?

i just found all the DLC on the store, so you definitely recommend anniversary pack? Any others? They’re still priced at 14.99 so wanna get the most bang for my buck.

I can honestly say if you haven’t played Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, pick up a new copy as it comes with the code for the Anniversary DLC in Reach. In my eyes, all the DLC are worth it in their own way, but the odds of them coming up in matchmaking is almost 0 due to most players not having it.

A thousand times, yes! For me personally, it’s the best Halo campaign/online everything! Trust me you won’t regret it!

Yes definitely play it, it’s one if the best campaigns in the series.

Well, I’m a few missions in and its pretty great! I’ve yet to touch the multiplayer yet. Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Have you finished the campaign yet??? If so, what’d you think???

Unfortunately not, I’ve been busy this weekend with family duties. Had to pick up my Christmas tree. I’m gonna hammer down this week to get it done. My wife works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights, so that leaves me two nights after work to play. I have a 1 year-old and it gets difficult to play when its just me and him, but that’s life.

I will say though the game reminds me so much of halo 3 which was by far my favorite.

Absolutely play it. It has one of the most diverse campaigns in the series (stealth mission, space battles, etc.), some of the most memorable moments (the ending, the entirety of New Alexandria, etc.), and a unique sandbox of weapons and vehicles to go with those things. The multiplayer is a blast too. Some mechanics, such as armor abilities and bloom, do hurt it’s core gameplay. However, Reach is still fun in spite of those things IMO. What really makes it shine is the vast selection of content to satisfy your every need and the fact that it improves upon best social aspects and community features/tools of Halo 3. Also Invasion. Invasion is the best…

Play it. You won’t regret it. Campaign is great, and Firefight and Multiplayer have more customization than any other game in the series.

Just don’t bother buying any of the DLC. Unless 343 Industries makes the DLC free for everyone like we’ve all been begging them to do, you’ll never get to play any of the maps save the two Firefight maps.

I’m got all the family stuff to come LOL.

Personally, I think Halo 3 is WAY better than Reach.

Definitely worth it. I only started playing it earlier last week, but it is really fun.

I beat reach on legendary and have been playing since 2012 and honestly this is my favorite halo game, so yes, this game is worth it!

Dude you have to play this game and wars they’re both brilliant
